Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions.

Essential Functions

Inspecting and replacing car lights and wipers.
Check fluid levels and add fluids to vehicle when necessary.
Inspect/replace engine air filter and cabin air filter.
Add oil to engine in the proper amount based on specifications of vehicle make/model.
Able to remove/rotate/lift/reinstall tires for tire rotation service.
Lubricate necessary components of the chassis/driveline.
Perform additional services on cooling systems and transmissions.
Perform second checks by visually verifying and performing proper callouts to ensure all necessary services have been performed correctly.
Able to move from bay to bay to perform services on multiple vehicles.
Frequently ascends/descends stairs/catwalks/stepstools to retrieve vehicle parts (filters, wipers, etc.) or perform services top side or underneath the vehicle (drain oil, replace filter, differential services, lubrication)
Able to work for extended periods of time with arms above your head when performing services underneath the vehicle on a catwalk.
Constantly positions self to perform required services under the hood, related to tires, or on catwalk working underneath the vehicle.
Able to move/transport items up to approximately 50 pounds.
Able to work with tools to perform duties in tight sometimes hard to reach areas.
Communicate verbally and receive verbal communication to ensure services are performed accurately, safely and in the proper order.

In this position you will be subject to environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside and in varying temperature conditions.

A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12. Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.

Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR

What You'll Do
You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the shop and ensure all company assets remain in excellent working condition. Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
Providing routine maintenance on trucks and equipment
Troubleshooting hydraulic systems and related components
Servicing mid-sized trucks (including diesel F-550s), gas-powered vehicles, backhoes, forklifts, mini excavators, generators, compressors, and small tools
Ordering parts, coordinating services, and keeping inventory stocked
Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully functional shop
Documenting all completed work accurately
What You Bring
Hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic

Ability to repair both vehicles and heavy construction equipment

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Activities Director is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of a varied activity program designed to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of residents. Promotes STAR Core Values and demonstrates strong communication, organization and hospitality skills.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
Leadership
* Selects, trains, supervises, and disciplines all Activities and Fitness personnel
* Management and oversight of the Wellness & Fitness department
* Establishes and maintains positive relationships with residents, provides exceptional customer service.
* Hires, educates, coaches activity and fitness staff and responsible for performance management.
