The Brattle Group, a privately held, global economics consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Practice Development Specialist to join our Boston, MA, New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, Chicago, IL, or Washington D.C. office. The Senior Practice Development Specialist is a key thought partner for the leaders of our Management Groups in advancing their strategic, operational, and financial priorities for the group and the Practice Areas within each group. This role helps ensure that each group operates efficiently, aligns with firm-wide goals, and delivers on key initiatives.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
Partner with Management Group Leaders and Senior Practice Development Managers to define, implement and track group priorities and initiatives.
Lead and coordinate day-to-day group operations, including annual planning, budgeting, hiring plans, and internal process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate with Finance team to monitor financial performance, including utilization, revenue, and case pipeline metrics.
Prepare, track, and analyze budgets and non-billable expenses to ensure accuracy, timely reporting, and data-driven decisions on resource allocation.
Partner with Marketing and Business Development teams to identify and execute practice development priorities, including building business plans, supporting events, and preparing communications.
Coordinate with Learning & Development to plan and deliver training programs, track impact, and support career growth and promotion readiness.
Coordinate group meetings, retreats, and trainings, including agendas, materials, and follow-up. Serve as a key liaison among Corporate Services teams (e.g., Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations) to enhance communication, share knowledge, and align objectives across CS teams.
Contribute to key firm-wide strategic projects as needed.
THE CANDIDATE
Bachelor's degree required; experience in a professional services or consulting environment preferred.
5+ years of experience in strategic operations, finance, or business management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with financial systems is helpful.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and trust while maintaining discretion with sensitive information.
Able to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Brattle offers a competitive benefits package, base salary, and bonus program for eligible roles based on individual and firm performance. The anticipated base gross salary range for this position in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C. is $115,000 - $125,000 annually and in New York, NY and San Francisco, CA is $127,000 - $137,000 annually. Actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including experience and training.

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Associate and Senior Associate level, total compensation includes base salary, bi-weekly bonuses for high-intensity efforts, annual bonus and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
Salary Range USD $100,000.00 - USD $108,000.00 /Yr. Benefits you will enjoy

Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer for our Civil & Structural Engineering Practice in Menlo Park, CA. In this role, you will work as part of a team conducting analysis- and computer-based problem-solving, performing experimental field investigations and diagnostic surveys, and maintaining client relations. Assignments will require the ability to gather information from and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry.
You will be responsible for
Inspection, analysis and determination of root causes of structural performance failures
Conducting structural and other quantitative analyses
Performing quantitative risk analysis for structures
Performing field investigations and diagnostic surveys
Preparing technical reports and presentations
Continued professional development towards establishing professional expertise
You will have the following skills and qualifications
Ph.D. in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related engineering field
P.E. or S.E. license or the ability to become licensed within two years in the State of California
Excellent creative problem-solving ability
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as lead and work in multi-disciplinary teams

Risk analysis, design analysis, experimental testing for performance, reliability, and risk prediction

Critically assessing test results, methods of analysis and testing protocols, generating new testing protocols based on new product designs, maintaining a systematic approach to data collection and storage, and report writing
You will have the following skills and qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
