The TruckDriver / Warehouseman's role is to support the Commercial Fuel and Lubes business of supplying product to our customers. The TD/WM reports to the Warehouse/Operations Manager.
General
· This is a “task- oriented” position including product stocking, pulling orders, and delivering orders. Safety and strict adherence to procedure and detail is key to success.
· Communication between TD/WM and manager is critical. If an order need or customer need is presented and the manager is not available, the respective sales representative will be the backup contact.
· Courtesy at our customer sites is essential and good working relationships are encouraged but customer communication should be limited to what is required to complete deliveries. Logistical or commercial issues/ questions are to be relayed back to manager.
Essential Functions
Perform warehouse and delivery functions accurately to ensure correct inventory accounting and correct product deliveries. Complete all assigned documentation according to instruction and within the required time frame.
Be a courteous and supportive team-player.
The TD/WM is required to keep the phone/radio or pager on and attached to his/her person while on duty.
Perform routine inspections of your truck, i.e. check oil, tires, brakes, etc. along with proper documentation. Maintain and report any mechanical problems associated with your equipment (truck, forklift, etc.).
Perform other actions as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
A valid CDL license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required. This job involves human relation skills because the TD/WM must interact with customers and associated personnel at customer accounts. It also requires some technical and mechanical knowledge for the TD/WM to drive a truck and forklift and to operate the computerized programs associated with the position.
