A Day in the Life:
Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.
The Must-Haves:
Valid Class A CDL.

• 5-day work week; home on weekends
• Routes are Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday; May include 2-4 overnights per week
• OTR or Regional routes with possibility of a daily local route, as needed

This position requires regular communication with our Driver Managers for scheduling assignments, resolution of issues that may arise while on the road and at customer sites, and other administrative duties as required.

The Roots Shuttle Program transports clients being released from custody to three drop-off points: Dublin/Pleasanton BART, Oakland Coliseum BART, and Eastmont Transit Center from 9 a.m. to midnight. Shuttles will make two round trips per hour to transport clients to drop-off points.

Key Responsibilities
Transportation Responsibilities:
Safely transports client in company provided vehicle following all applicable federal and state driving laws.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

Vehicle Maintenance Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring routine vehicle maintenance including inspections, interior and exterior cleaning and pumping gas. Maintains all such documentation. Responsible for adhering to vehicle cleaning protocols as part of the Covid-19 response.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Maintains and prepares vehicle usage logs. Maintains accurate vehicle documentation with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.

**Responsibilities**
+ Start your day at our warehouse where you'll meet to review your route, safety topics, and more with the operations team
+ Drive a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate to customers' homes or offices
+ Unload, deliver, and install furniture while interacting with customers
+ Assist in the warehouse as needed; this may require loading and unloading furniture
**Qualifications**
+ A valid state driver's license and safe driving record.
+ Minimum of 6 months of professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle required; 1 year of experience preferred
+ Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
+ Ability to work overtime as needed
+ Must be at least 21 years of age
+ Must pass drug screening and MVR checks as a condition of employment. CORT also participates in the E-Verify program.
+ Per FMSCA Regulations: Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
