WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE The Shuttle Truck Driver will be responsible for the complete setting of sets for use at washout as well as assisting with inventory and other record keeping. Locates and moves shuttle truck to place product under washer, making sure that the correct load of carrots is being washed by checking paperwork against load information. Keeps track of loads washed for accurate data tracking. Writes ticket number, sequence, amount of load and time finished on tracking document. At times, will collect, rotate, dump and store raw product into cull trailers, rotate stock in soaker shed storage, inventory stock in soaker shed storage, load transport trucks, and accomplish all other tasks requiring the use of specified heavy equipment Will coordinate box changes to reduce overage and maximize efficiency and verify all tally file changes with Lead, Supervisors and/or Managers. Will be responsible for moving shuttle sets to and from staging areas. Assist the washout operator as needed. Responsible for cleaning shuttle truck as needed and around washout and centrifugal seizers. Coordinate set staging and rotation with washout attendant and weight master. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good order. Report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions. At the end of the shift, responsible for removal of raw product and solid waste from food contact surface and properly clean and sanitize the production facility area/grounds and equipment Cover and protect sensitive equipment with canvas/plastic cover Apply cleaning chemicals to all machinery Use centralized and/or portable foaming systems Help disassemble equipment. Apply heavy-duty chemicals to breakdown accumulated sugars Apply concentrated sanitizer to walls and overhead Other duties as assigned. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; or six-to-one-year-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid Driver's License and clean driving record Must complete “Yard Goat” training and obtain certificate. Forklift Certificate Required Skills and Abilities: Possess mechanical aptitude. Detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
