Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and Special Education Teacher, will assist with individualized and small group instruction for students of all educational levels who have physical or behavioral needs or are medically fragile. Paraeducators assist students with the unique needs outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEP). This vital role involves providing direct support to students, helping them access their education through academic support, behavior management, and fostering independence. While you may work one-on-one with a student or within small groups, it is important to note that assignments are not fixed to specific students. Staff members are assigned based on current needs and teacher discretion, which allows us to adapt and reassign support to maximize effectiveness for all students. This position requires effective collaboration with other staff to implement necessary accommodations and strategies that promote student success. Special Duties/Responsibilities: The selected candidate will divide efforts between two students, both in-person at the student's home and through Zoom from Glacier Peak High School. The candidate will follow through with instructional activities provided by the Life Skills teacher.
Students Served: Life Skills students have significant cognitive and adaptive delays who require specialized life skills and functional academic instruction.
Salary Range: $27.91 - $31.74 Paraeducator B per 2025-26 Public School Employees Salary Schedule
Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.
Work Schedule:

* Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Qualifications:
* Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
