Duties/Responsibilities:
Secures the front desk of the schools' visitor access, student drop off and pick up
Assists in the morning and afternoon with student bus drop off, parent drop off locations, and parking lots
Patrols and monitors hallways, stairwells, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places for the school to ensure safety and well-being of students and staff
Ensures a smooth traffic flow of students through the hallways, assisting students with on-time arrival to class and to assigned locations
Assists with the supervision in the lunch periods
Removes disruptive students from classes when needed
Locates and escorts students to the Assistant Principal's office when requested
Assists the professional staff, police, and emergency personnel in the handling of emergencies or disruptive situations
Ensures students are in compliance with school rules and regulations
Provides escorts for visitors to various locations throughout the building
Provides security duties as requested to after school and weekend events

- Enforces institutional policies relative to safety, security, and orderliness.

- Prepares institutional incident reports, maintains a shift activities log, and writes other reports as required.
- Assists in detaining trespassers, violators, and potential escapees until proper authorities arrive.
- Assists in searches for missing patients.
- Provides general information to institutional visitors and gives directions as required.
- May be required to provide transportation for patients to outside facilities and institutions.
- Inspects fire extinguishers on a monthly basis.
- May locate and confiscate contraband notifying appropriate authorities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Security Officer

The Role: Security - Officer
MAJOR FOCUS: Guards casino property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry, and safeguards all employees, guests and assets.
Responsibilities:
Patrols assigned areas and maintains surveillance of the premises to ensure the safety of patrons and employees.
Patrols casino floor to determine and guard against criminal offenses, pickpockets, nuisances, suspicious persons, etc.
Quickly responds to any emergency situation as required, and gives aid as necessary.
Physically lifts and removes patrons in difficult situations and administers C.P.R. if necessary.
Ensures that no unauthorized persons enter the gaming floor during the downtime hours by checking credentials.
Escorts and oversees the transferring of monies from the slot machines and table games to the count rooms.
Utilizes radio to receive direction from and communicate information to the security base.

Conduct routine checks and maintenance of security systems, adjust equipment as needed, detect tampering, troubleshoot malfunctions, and evaluate new equipment and techniques
Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of individuals, as well as investigate and report irregular activity to the Security Manager or local police, and respond to all alarms
Ensure that all reports, records, and documentation are precise, comprehensive, and submitted promptly, adhering to established policies and procedures
Safely and securely transport deliveries to authorized dispensary organizations and patients, ensuring receipt is registered
Operates vehicles in compliance with state and local guidelines
What You'll Bring:
A valid driver's license
You must be at least 25 years old
Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
Available to work a flexible schedule
Even Better If:
You have at least 2 years of experience in safety or security, law enforcement, or military background, along with training and certification in First Aid and CPR
You've been trained in non-violent communication, conflict de-escalation, and assertiveness, equipping you to handle both typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively
