General Duties:
Obtain and record patient history.
Field questions and inquiries about services, triage, and products.
Know common drugs and protocols and be able to explain them to clients.
Document legibly with correct spelling and keep accurate medical records by hospital policy.
Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas.
Perform physical assessments; record observations legibly in files or computers.
Communicate necessary follow-up and home care instructions.
Collect and perform lab procedures.
Assist with positioning and taking radiographs.
Calculate and properly administer fluids and medications.
Perform venipunctures and place IV catheters.
Prep wounds and apply bandages.
Perform other duties as assigned including assisting in other areas.
Track controlled drugs.
Proficient in practice management software (VIA): able to invoice; fax, scan, and e-mail records; burn radiographs to CD; e-mail radiographs; print ultrasound reports
Surgical Duties:

Prep patients for surgery and ultrasound.
Monitoring anesthesia for minor procedures

Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently. The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform duties while at hospital. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate equipment.
