The Position The Relief Veterinarian is responsible for providing day-to-day to the delivery of exceptional diagnostic, treatment and surgical services to animals served and owned pets by the Oregon Humane Society. Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Ensure consistent, high-quality care, safe and exceptional service to maintain a positive hospital environment, uphold medical standards, and support business performance
Adhere to all WellHaven protocols and practices and oversee employees to prioritize practice goals
Collaborate with the Principal Doctor to establish development plans that align with hospital objectives
Practice veterinary medicine in compliance with the State Veterinary Practice Act, Federal and/or State Controlled Substance laws, WellHaven Code of Ethics, and maintain appropriate medical record documentation
Maintain thorough and accurate medical charting for all patients, consistently meeting hospital quality control standards
Provide comprehensive client communication, including in-person, phone, and email as needed
Participate in community events, external marketing initiatives, and hospital projects
Demonstrate proficiency in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and current medical practices
Advocate for exceptional client service and patient well-being
Provide medical training to support staff (new graduates will gain experience over time).

The Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Tualatin (EVCOT) is looking for a full-time associate veterinarian for our high-volume, 24/7 emergency and critical care facility. Our ideal candidate is versatile - we see a wide variety of cases on an emergency basis. We provide high-quality medical care and are also always available for common emergency surgeries, such as C-sections, GDV, pyometra, GI foreign body surgeries, and most minor surgeries. Our goal is to provide high-quality emergency care to as many pets as we can, at an affordable price.
