This position travels to our warehouses across the Mid-West, South Central, and New England states. Our team of installers assist with setting up new warehouses, changing existing racking, moving product and racking installation and teardowns. Responsible for unloading and/or loading trucks, as well as picking/pulling and/or putting away tires/products. Being able to fill in when needed to drive a truck for delivery routes. Move and make changes to existing racking. Measure, outline and paint truck and farm area according to layout. Move product to new racking, according to new layout charting. Install signs and labels in bins, dock doors, etc. Responsible for unloading semi-trailers and/or assisting the loader for semi-trailers and route trucks. Use equipment and tools provided daily accurately and safely to verify, pull/pick, and put-away tires/products. Tires/products should be in designated locations with tags out and restocked as needed. The Warehouse Assistant position is responsible for retrieving, pulling, and sorting stock in our Corporate Warehouse. The Warehouse Assistant is also tasked with locating and assorting stock to fill customer orders, set up Retail Store deliveries, move goods throughout the Warehouse, and will perform other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to: · Receives orders from the Warehouse Manager and retrieves/picks/packs goods from warehouse. · Checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods. · Delivers materials to routing areas for packing and updates computer ordering system. · Uses an order-picker system/sheet to pull orders when needed. · Follows safety rules for warehouse when picking an order. · May assist with loading and unloading trucks at Warehouse · Moves stock in a manner that prevents breakage and/or product loss · Ability to ensure that strict delivery deadlines are met · Upholds all company policies and practices · Performs/completes other duties or special projects as assigned Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (required for candidates to be considered) · High school diploma or equivalent · Ability to perform all essential job functions, duties, and physical demands, as assigned · Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including but not limited to weekends and/or holidays, based on business need · Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES · Ability to operate various types of material-handling equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, pallet wraps · Strong attention to detail, as well as strong reading and communication skills · Ability to communicate effectively with employees, including Warehouse staff. · Strong sense of urgency, flexibility and willingness to adapt to change. · Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS · Must be able to continuously to stand/walk, push/pull, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, utilize fine finger movement (i.e. keyboard operating, writing, etc.) and tactile/touch to assist with products/loading and unloading/equipment/etc., and grasping/gripping/holding with hands and/or fingers, bend at the waist, climb/work at heights (i.e. step ladders, ladders, etc.), kneel and squat, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, and reach overhead with arms raised above shoulder height/forward reaching. · Must be able to frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, or infrequently sit/remain in a seated position during job performance, and frequently balance on uneven surfaces/ground. · Must be able to continuously communicate with store employees, co-workers, vendors, either in-person or over the phone, including speaking, hearing, and sight in order to assist customers. · While working, this position may be exposed to dust, cleaning agents, truck exhaust when receiving and/or unloading product, inadequate lighting at close of business, tolerance of noise from products and customers, tolerance of smells/scents of products (i.e. candles, potpourri, lotions, etc.), work outside, and work at heights in the stockroom or on the product floor. EMPLOYMENT STATUS This is a regular, full-time, hourly position that is deemed “non-exempt” by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which means that any hours worked over 40 will be paid at time-and-a-half, and will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
