Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to operate a variety of multiple conventional, production machines, and/ or equipment at specified machining centers to fabricate wood or laminated panel products, parts, and components.
Performs minor setup and adjustment functions on the machine
Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutting tools, or adjusts machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machines malfunction
Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement
Manually lifts work pieces to machines, or with the assistance of a lifting mechanism to load and unload machinery

Prepare outgoing orders by boxing, crating, wrapping, and labeling products as required.
Load and unload freight, including operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment.
Verify outgoing orders for accuracy and assist with receiving incoming materials.
Maintain organized storage areas for boxes, pallets, and packaging supplies; communicate when inventory is low.
Follow all documentation practices for shipping, materials, assembly, and time entry.

Give assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers
Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
