Main Purpose of the Job:
To perform all activities needed to maintain material supplies in an efficient, careful,
attentive way, observing good manufacturing practices and production, quality and
safety standards. Maintaining machines and equipment to ensure correct volumes and
quality of raw material.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensures material availability and accurate inventory
-Ensures delivered materials are stored in the correct location, including labels
-Ensures silo's capacities are checked at shift start and finish to guarantee machines
do not run out of material
-Checks with Supervisor at the beginning of shift for any pending color changes
-Ensures a correct and accurate inventory is taken, as requested
-Reports to Production Manager any anticipated shortages of colorants
Ensures efficient material usage
-Ensures regrind waste is kept to a minimum and that any waste is recorded
-Ensures any regrind that can be returned to the machines is returned as soon as possible

-Ensures all correct procedures are followed during a color change
-Ensures materials no longer being used are returned to the correct area
-Ensures material hoses are hooked up correctly
Ensures cleanliness of regrind room, label room and mezzanine

Responsibilities:
Receiving
Ensure all supplier & customer ASN's are entered and/or electronically loaded within specified times
Coordinate all material activities as it relates to “sequence only” product
Load and review supplier ASN's against receipts to make sure they are correct and transmitted within specified time windows. Report discrepancies to the appropriate Material Planner.
Compare supplier's carrier against transportation routing instructions, complete Document of Excess Transportation Cost forms as necessary.
Notify appropriate Material Planner/Coordinator when new engineering level parts are received.
Prepare Fed Ex and UPS shipments daily
Generates miscellaneous reports for Materials and Receiving Departments, as necessary.
Enter packing slip information into Trans4M and attach the Bill of Ladings by end of business day. Initiate first follow up directly with suppliers on packing slip discrepancies and ASN issues.
Receive all non-production items against assigned discrete purchase orders. Notify recipient of receipt. Communicate MRO packing slip discrepancies to the originator.
Input DPR for shipping inaccuracies (labeling, no paperwork, no ASN, quantity discrep, late, etc.)
Track approved shipping labels for suppliers
Immediately report all damaged freight to the appropriate Material Planner. (
Monitor inventory levels by running required reports each shift to validate appropriate levels.
Provide direction to inbound carrier drivers for dock assignment and / or drop yard instructions.
Receive, process and store all necessary shipment paperwork.

Review bank status in Clark System & advise Supervisor of critical levels according to screen

Provide emergency troubleshooting of production equipment during production runs while working in tandem with Production Maintenance Mechanics and Production Managers to maintain efficiency
Perform machine set ups and changeovers while maintaining full compliance with food safety and quality standard
Ensure effective mechanical adjustments are made in a timely manner to avoid downtime and product wast
Diagnose minor issues, repair or work with mechanics to help repair equipment, test and make necessary adjustment
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment in performing dutie
Complete production and quality control paperwork with acute attention to detail
Must be somewhat efficient in using a calculator or have a general knowledge of mathematics.
Effective operation of computer, keyboard, mouse, and HMI
Effectively communicate with members of staff at all levels in a professional manner
Actively participate in company safety meetings and be a proponent of employee safety
Follow all GMPs and all other company quality and food safety programs as they relate to the production department

Main Purpose of the Job:
To perform all activities needed to maintain material supplies in an efficient, careful, attentive way, observing good manufacturing practices and production, quality and safety standards. Maintaining machines and equipment to ensure correct volumes and quality of raw material.
