Responsibilities:
Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek).
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

What You'll Do
Material Handling (Primary Role - ~50%)
• Supply production machines with raw materials using FIFO
• Remove, scan, and store finished goods accurately
• Process material requests within the ERP system
• Communicate with production supervisors to ensure uninterrupted workflow
• Load/unload trucks as needed
• Identify and route defective rolls
• Consolidate cartons/cases & return unused materials to proper storage
• Conduct cycle counts and bin audits
• Perform basic equipment checks (fluids, dusting, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow forklift standards
Order Picking (~25%)
• Pick customer orders using forklifts and scanners
• Verify accuracy and product condition before shipping
• Shrink-wrap, weigh, and palletize orders
• Restock primary pick bins from secondary locations
• Document all movements in the ERP system
Shipping & Scheduling Support (~25%)
• Assist with preparing outbound shipments
• Create BOLs and shipping paperwork when filling in for the Shipping Clerk
• Route shipments using customer-preferred methods
