We are seeking a Warehouse Technician to support our hydrologic data collection efforts. Responsibilities include managing shipments, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and providing customer assistance. Warehouse Specialist II Responsibilities Include:
Warehousing: Manage shipments, storage, picking, packing, labeling, material movement, inventory control, and customer assistance.
Receiving: Off-load trucks, inspect goods, verify quantities and serial numbers, process items into supply chain software, apply bar code labels, update procurement lists, prepare documentation, and transport items for QC inspections.
Storage and put away: Ensure stock is packed, boxed, labeled, stored, and updated in supply chain software; manage inventory control and work order information.
Shipping: Prepare orders for shipment, ensure correct selection and handling, enter shipping transactions into supply chain software, schedule shipments, and provide special handling as needed; assist customers with shipping issues.
Inventory Control: Conduct annual inventory, reconcile discrepancies, report unresolved issues, and manage excess stock disposition.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance checks on warehouse lift equipment and advise on repair needs. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Warehouse Specialist II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Department of Transportation hazardous material handling training (every three years).
Ability to obtain forklift certification (renewed every three years as required by OSHA and USGS).
Knowledge of hydrology, electronics, mechanics, mathematics, statistics, warehousing, customer support, computer-aided drafting, and computer science.
Proficiency with supply chain software system for inventory control and work order information.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as off-loading trucks, packing, and moving stock.
Strong attention to detail for inspecting delivered goods and verifying information.
Effective communication skills for interacting with other client offices and OFAs.
Problem-solving skills to assist customers with shipping issues and discrepancies.
Ability to perform periodic pre-operational and preventative maintenance checks on warehouse equipment.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Summary:

What You'll Do:

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate assists with Inbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards. Inbound positions receive products into the facility and outbound ships products to customers.
Responsibilities
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit of measure items and place on designated cart.
Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.
Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility may include order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization.
Qualifications

The Warehouse Order Pullers are responsible for efficient, safe, and accurate loading of the delivery trucks and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Must report to work on time and clock in and out properly.
2. Keep all warehouse load areas and grounds clean. Place product on hand truck or dolly Fills racks, pushes/pulls pallets and loads appropriate company products.
3. Prior to starting the loading process, review the total quantity to be pulled and the truck it is to go on. Discuss any space concerns with the Load Crew Manager.
4. Build loads for each order in the most efficient manner.
5. Pull and load the exact amounts given through the voice picking system or system generated pick sheets.
6. Ensure loads are completed accurately and neatly.
7. Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first.
8. Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition.
9. Load all carts/pallets onto appropriate route truck.
10. Load the product on each truck properly to prevent damage.
11. Clean all areas before leaving at the end of your shift, keeping work area clean.
12. Clear the pick area of debris and stretch wrap at the end of the truck loading process each night.
13. Prior to the end of your shift each night ensures all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and safely stored.
14. Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately.
15. Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company.
16. Obtain from the Warehouse Manager approval prior to working more than your regular schedule.
17. Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
18. Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
19. Conduct all your activities in accordance with the local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
20. Perform all work activities in accordance with the safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
21. Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices.
22. Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager and Load Crew Manager.
23. 10. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of high school diploma
2. Previous use of warehouse equipment to include walkie rider, pallet jack, forklift, scanners, etc.
3. Highly motivated to reach goals.
4. Comfortable working as a team or alone.
5. Access to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid drivers license in state of residence and auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen.
