Designer - Land Development

We are seeking a motivated Designer - Land Development to join our civil engineering and land development team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who wants to contribute to meaningful land development projects while growing technical skills in site design, utility layout, grading, storm drainage, and Civil 3D modeling. You will collaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers to deliver high-quality design documents that support successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Apply and uphold CAD and design standards to ensure consistency and accuracy in plan production.
Prepare construction drawing packages, incorporating redlines, notes, and technical specifications.
Contribute to conceptual site designs, detailed layouts, and utility infrastructure plans (water, sewer, stormwater).
Develop preliminary and final grading plans, 3D surface models, and perform earthwork analysis.
Use Civil 3D to create and modify alignments, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks.
Assist with storm drainage design, erosion control, and sedimentation plans.
Support coordination with internal teams, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Participate in QA/QC processes and construction administration support.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met from concept through construction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
1-4 years of civil engineering or land development experience preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred.
Engineer Intern (EI) certification or on path to PE preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and grow within the profession.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork.
Frequent computer use requiring sitting, typing, and repetitive motion.
Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds frequently and 30 pounds occasionally.

The responsibilities of our Platform team include building and maintaining all backend services, including, but not limited to, payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs.

What You'll Do
Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience
An Ideal Candidate Should Have
Proven experience in backend development: TS/Node (required)
Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
Efficiency in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact
Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes
