THE ROLE OF A COREPOWER YOGA INSTRUCTOR A CorePower Yoga Instructor delivers an extraordinary experience. As an instructor you will provide this experience through a welcoming front desk check-in process, guiding students through a CPY-aligned class, and supporting each individual student to live their power. Our instructors cultivate supportive relationships by making themselves accessible and approachable, ensuring student safety, and embodying the CPY Core Values at all times.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
* Teach a minimum of two (2) CorePower Yoga classes per week for a minimum of 4 hours of time in studio
* Serve the community and provide a consistent safe space for all to practice by educating students on alignment, offering modifications for postures as appropriate, and consistently using CPY cueing formulas
* Instructors are scheduled to be at the studio 30 minutes before and after each class to read studio communications, plan CPY aligned classes using the CPY Class Planning and support tools and connect with the student community
* Connect with students 30 minutes prior to class beginning and 30 minutes after class ends in support of students' personal growth, growth of the studio, and all current CPY initiatives
* As a member of the CPY teacher community you are the face of our students CPY experience. We ask that you welcome students, check students in to class, navigate any POS transactions, process front desk duties, and ensure that our students have an overall memorable experience
* Perform specific cleaning tasks as assigned to ensure CPY Smart Health Protocol standards of cleanliness are observed to ensure student and employee safety
* Contribute to a supportive and fun studio environment by upholding the CPY Core Values and fostering positive working relationships
* Act as an in-studio ambassador for all current CPY initiatives and business streams including but not limited to All Access Membership, programming and lifestyle programs, retail, etc.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Prior to June 2020: Certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training with an additional 50 hours of continuing education for C1, C2, HPF and Hot Formats or a Yoga Sculpt or Fitness Training plus an additional 40 hours of continuing Education for Yoga Sculpt. After June 2020: Certificate from a format related 200-hour yoga teacher training in person/online, and/or a CorePower Yoga Online teacher training and/or completion of 50HR Yoga Sculpt Intensive.
* Current CPR/AED certification required
* High School diploma preferred
* Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in computer applications
* Ability to lead students in physical activity for a maximum 1.5 hours at a time
* Ability to withstand exposure to heat of a maximum of 104 degrees for a minimum of 60 mins in heated classes
* Instructors will be assigned a studio set including a home studio and supporting studio(s) where they will be scheduled to teach permanent classes, prioritize subbing support, receive routine feedback and communications, and support growth of the community and CPY initiatives
* Must be able to move around the studio space, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class

Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class

What do Chef Instructors do at Tablespoon?
Tablespoon's Chef Instructors lead our guests through hands-on cooking classes and private events. This is a customer-facing role where you will teach our guests throughout the cooking class, provide help to ensure that their food comes out great, and engage to make sure each guest is having a wonderful time. You'll need to be comfortable wearing a microphone, speaking in front of an audience and commanding a room while also creating a welcoming and fun environment.
On an average day, the Chef Instructor will arrive before class to help our team set up and get organized. When all of the food is cooked, the guests will sit down to eat. Throughout class, we love to engage with our guests and create a personal connection. At the end of class, the team will work together to clean, break down the kitchen, and do the dishes.
We offer several core classes with standardized menus and recipes. Chef Instructors would be given this information and expected to lead the class accordingly. There are also opportunities to develop new classes, menus and recipes.
Prior culinary experience and a love of food and cooking are required. Our menus change every day so there is always an opportunity to learn something new. We pride ourselves on our dedication to the guest experience and making sure our guests have fun!
Responsibilities
Execute all aspects of the class/event to Tablespoon's standards
Set up for classes and events (putting out equipment, ingredients, setting up stations)
Assist guests during arrival to class
Lead engaging and energetic hands-on demonstrations for the three hour class
Wear a microphone, speak in front of an audience, provide instructions and command the room
Share passion and knowledge of food with others
Teach guests about classic cooking techniques and ingredients and equipment selection
Create a fun and inviting atmosphere where all guests feel welcome, taken care of and are having fun
Assist guests with anything they need during class such as beverages, ingredients, cooking assistance, etc.
Interact with guests and create a personal connection with each guest
Clean up, break down kitchen and do dishes after the class or event
Job Requirements
Culinary school degree and/or restaurant and cooking experience
Possess and exhibit the drive to provide exceptional customer service
Exhibit professionalism when talking with guests and communicating information
Ability to engage an audience to ensure all guests feel comfortable cooking
Ability to provide thorough instructions and communicate effectively with guests during class
Comfortable using technology such as email, Google Drive, Slack and other apps
Ability to think quick, change with the environment and work with a team
Up-to-date with food and beverage trends and best practices
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Arrive on-time and ready for all shifts
Have a working knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation procedures
Guest-oriented and service-minded
Excellent verbal and written communication

THE ROLE & SCHEDULE
We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages walking to 11 years old
KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum
Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding the why behind the KidStrong curriculum
Our classes run typically weekdays 9 am -11 am and evenings until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8 am through lunch/noon.

Coaching children during birthday parties, camp, and parent's night outs
COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
Effectively use the KS Coachs App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
Complete trainings through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class
Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next' month's curriculum
Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director
Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example: Winter Break, Summer Break)
Must obtain certified status by the HQ Training and Certification team
Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next months curriculum
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
CPR certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter who just gets a job done
