This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. • Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
• Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty

• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
• Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

(1) Arrives at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled start times dependably and punctually.
(2) Check C-arm and other equipment for use before procedures.
(3) Prepares and opens supplies for procedures.
(4) Assists patients with transfer from stretcher to OR table.
(5) Performs patient skin preparation.
(6) Positions the C-arm for the physician to obtain adequate images.
(7) Cleans and organizes the room before and after procedures.
(8) Purchases supplies and maintains accurate inventory to forecast needs and prevent any supply-chain lapse, with ongoing monitoring of costs, availability of new or improved supply options, and awareness of current vendor arrangements.
(9) Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
The position requires an Associate Degree in Radiology, valid and current Arkansas licensure, and two (2) years of prior Radiology Technologist experience.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a Part-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to include 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required. The position operates in a professional office environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds) and reaching. The incumbent may operate any or all of the following standard office equipment including but not limited to multi-line telephone system, postage mater, facsimile machines, calculator, photocopy machine, computer/printer, and coffee maker. The incumbent may operate medical equipment. The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
