What You'll Do as an Apartment Maintenance Technician:
We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician who is hands-on, technically skilled, and ready to lead a service team at a high-volume community. In this role, you will:
· Lead, train, and guide maintenance staff throughout daily operations
· Complete and oversee service requests to ensure timely, high-quality results
· Coordinate and assist with make-readies, upgrades, and maintenance schedules
· Ensure all work orders and unit turns are completed efficiently and accurately
· Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled
· Maintain organized inventory and ensure proper use of tools/equipment
· Support the Property Manager with various maintenance projects and initiatives
· Uphold community standards for safety, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction

To be successful in this role, you MUST have:
· Minimum 3 Years of Previous Experience as a Lead Maintenance Technician in multifamily housing REQUIRED (including team supervision)
· Valid HVAC Certification REQUIRED
· Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation

· A personal set of basic hand tools
· Proven ability to coach, train, and lead service technicians
· Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and time-management skills

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman / Carpenter to join our team and support ongoing maintenance and construction needs across multiple properties and job sites in the Houston area. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a broad skill set in general repairs, light carpentry, and small-scale construction. This role requires travel throughout Houston to complete tasks efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general handyman duties, including painting, drywall repairs, door/window adjustments, hardware replacement, and minor plumbing/electrical fixes.
Execute light carpentry work such as framing, trim installation, shelving, cabinetry, and wood repairs.
Travel to various job sites throughout the Houston area based on the daily/weekly schedule.
Diagnose issues and provide accurate material and labor estimates as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
Communicate with project managers and property staff regarding project status and completion timelines.
Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a handyman, carpenter, or general maintenance technician.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and carpentry techniques.
Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to travel daily across job sites within the Houston metro area.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in general maintenance or carpentry.
