The Process Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring plant systems at the La Porte Complex. This role involves adhering to standard operating procedures, troubleshooting equipment, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring high-quality and cost-effective operations. The operator will work with process control systems and maintain a strong focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations & Maintenance:
Operate plant systems following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform minor maintenance tasks, including equipment isolation and troubleshooting.
Monitor and control operations using the Foxboro Distributive Control System (DCS).
Utilize electronic manufacturing and inventory systems, logbooks, and MOC systems.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure safe, environmentally responsible, and high-quality operations.
Follow all Process Safety Management (PSM), Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S), and Quality Systems protocols.
Maintain E-Squad qualifications, including Industrial Fire Brigade, HAZMAT Response, CPR, First Aid, and Incident Command.
Continuous Improvement & Efficiency:
Identify and implement process improvements related to safety, environmental compliance, and operations.
Demonstrate an above-average understanding of the chemical processes involved in unit operations.
Work collaboratively with the team to drive operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
3-5 years of experience as a process operator in a chemical plant environment
Associate's degree in Process Technology (preferred but not required).
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Chempax ERP (preferred but not required).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

The Engineered Products Group (EPG) is a diverse group of manufacturing businesses designing and manufacturing a broad range of highly engineered products. These products include induction heating and melting systems, tube & pipe threading and bending systems, forge and forming presses, and forged and machined components. The Industrial Engineered Group (IEG) is a sub-segment of the Engineered Products Group that focuses on the induction heating and melting business through global brands like Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic, GH, Lectrotherm, SAET, Pillar. IEG designs and manufactures world-class equipment for the foundry, heat treating, bar & tube (OCTG & API), steel processing, strip heating, forging & forming, and vacuum induction melting industries. The induction business also provides various services, including laboratory process development, preventative maintenance, equipment repair and parts, coil repair facilities, and installation services. Additionally, the IEG group includes pipe bending and threading with global brands like Colinet and PMC. The entire group is made up of more than 30 sites globally and is approximately $325M in annual sales. These companies are in a sub-segment of the Engineered Product Group, one of the three reportable segments of ParkOhio.
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Human Resources will lead all global HR strategy and operations for IEG across EMEA, China, Latin America, and North America. This executive will oversee a global workforce of 1,500+ employees and a distributed HR team, partnering directly with the IEG President and senior functional leaders.
This role requires a proven HR leader with extensive global manufacturing experience, strong capability in engineering-centric businesses, and a track record of building and executing HR strategies that deliver measurable business results.
Job Duties:
- Lead the global HR function across 30+ sites, including talent management, organization design, leadership development, workforce planning, employee relations, and total rewards.
- Partner with the President and executive team to shape organizational strategy and build HR capabilities aligned to growth and operational goals.
- Manage and develop HR teams in distributed locations, ensuring alignment, capability building, and consistent global execution.
- Build scalable HR programs such as performance management, succession planning, and leadership development that drive measurable improvements in capability, retention, and business performance.
- Ensure compliance with employment, labor, and HSE regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Act as executive-level advisor on workforce, culture, talent risks, and organizational design.
- Lead HR components of M&A due diligence, integration, and organizational transitions.
- Manages relationship with PKOH and provide information to corporate as required.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and data integrity.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
- 10 + years in Human Resources leadership role leading HR teams at scale in multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Proven success leading HR in global regions such as EMEA, China, and Latin America
- Experience with an enterprise level HCM.

Due to continued growth, ALTIVIA is creating a new position for a Regional EHS&S Manager to support our expanding operations at both the Crosby and La Porte Texas facilities. This is a hands-on role requiring active involvement in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security programs and procedures. The EHS&S Manager will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, focusing on safe work practices, accident investigation and prevention, process safety, contractor safety, security, hazard communication, emergency response, fire protection systems, industrial hygiene, safety and health training, and environmental compliance.
The EHS&S Manager actively participates in strategic business initiatives, quality efforts, community communications, and interacts with employees at all levels within the facilities. This role also leads community outreach efforts, including representing the facilities at the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:
Manage all regulatory permitting and reporting requirements, including renewals and modifications.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and transportation regulations (federal, state, and local) at both Crosby and La Porte sites.
Maintain responsibility for application reports such as DMRs, TSCA reports, SARA 311, 312, 313, CWC reporting (if required), CDCTA reporting (if required), waste management activities, stack testing, and RATA testing for boilers.
Work closely with ALTIVIA's central group (currently at Haverhill) to ensure consistency and compliance with established procedures and protocols.
Ensure site conformity with the Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) and maintain required documentation for Responsible Care certification.
Conduct first-party PSM audits annually and participate in all third-party PSM audits.
Log all incidents into Training Mine to maintain compliance
Safety Management & Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations for incidents, near misses, and corrective action requests, applying Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when necessary.
Participate and lead safety meetings, Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and emergency response drills.
Support Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal safety audits and participate in external audits (Corporate or OSHA).
Implement and oversee safety programs, including fire protection systems, hazard communication, and contractor safety.
Role model safety and health behaviors to drive continuous improvement.
Health & Industrial Hygiene (IH):
Develop, maintain, and execute all safety and health programs.
Support unit-level maintenance of IH exposure assessments, exposure monitoring, and IH record-keeping.
Provide clear communication and training on safety, health, and industrial hygiene practices.
Serve as the point person for internal safety audits and support external compliance reviews.
Operational Support & Collaboration:
Maintain strong interfaces with operators, technicians, and shift supervisors at both Crosby and La Porte facilities.
Lead community outreach initiatives, including participation in the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
Collaborate with plant personnel to ensure regulatory compliance related to safety, transportation, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with the Logistics and Operations teams to integrate safety practices into daily processes.
Training & Documentation:
Develop and maintain safety training documentation, ensuring proper execution of safety and health programs.
Facilitate safety training sessions and ensure ongoing education for all staff.
Maintain accurate records of training, safety meetings, and compliance activities.
Support quality initiatives and integrate safety considerations into continuous improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in an HSE discipline with 5+ years of experience, OR chemical plant experience with 10+ years in an HSE role (Bachelor's degree preferred).
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and environmental regulations.
Proficiency in Process Safety Management (PSM) practices.
Comprehensive understanding of federal and state environmental, industrial hygiene, and transportation regulations.
Demonstrated safety leadership and a record of meeting department and plant goals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
High level of initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain focus under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Proficiency in ERP software systems.
