* will learn to inspect and test all types of weighing and measuring devices used to pack commodities, weigh vehicles, dispense gasoline, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, and other petroleum products.
* will learn to assists in the operation of heavy-duty scale testing units and auxiliary equipment, volumetric meter provers, pharmaceutical and other specialized testing equipment.
General laptop and computer knowledge is needed to complete fieldwork daily. Must be able to wear a respirator, and be fit tested, as necessary.

ADVANCEMENT:
Appointee's work performance will be reviewed and rated semi-annually
during each twelve (12) months of the three (3) year apprenticeship
program. Upon successful completion of the thirty-six (36) month
apprenticeship program, appointees will be eligible for advancement
to the title of Weights and Measures Inspector 1 in State service, or to
the title of Assistant Superintendent of Weights and Measures in local
service, in accordance with New Jersey Civil Service Commission
procedures.
The inability of an employee in the Apprentice title to satisfactorily
complete the training period and/or attain a level of performance
warranting advancement to the title of Weights and Measures
Inspector 1 in State service or the title of Assistant Superintendent
of Weights and Measures in local service, shall be considered cause
for separation from employment.

POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE
ABA Centers of PA provides year-round therapeutic intervention for children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder using the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA). These therapeutic services are provided in clinic, homes, and community settings. Summary: The BCBA is responsible for maintaining a caseload of 6-9 learners, who are receiving insurance-funded or private-pay funded services.
The ABA Apprentice is responsible for assisting an assigned BCBA with unrestricted supervision tasks for a caseload of learners.
POSITIONS' ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are duties and responsibilities that the ABA Apprentice shall provide:
Design, implement, and systematically monitor skill-acquisition and behavior reduction programs under the supervision of a BCBA
Assist the BCBA by researching the literature related to 2-3 specific learners' programs
Oversee the implementation of behavior-analytic programs by others
Assist the BCBA by conducting assessments related to the need for behavioral intervention (e.g., preference assessment, functional assessment, staff performance assessment, etc.)
Assist the BCBA by writing objectives to be tested for initial assessments and assisting with any other way needed
Analyze and summarize results of assessments and graphs results as needed
Write 6-month progress reports with supervision and guidance by the BCBA
Train and design behavioral systems and performance management for technicians
Conduct naturalistic observations of learners as directed by the BCBA
Provide staff and caregiver training
Meet with the supervising BCBA at least once per week to discuss learner progress and behavior analytic tasks that must be completed for each learner
Facilitate one team meeting for a learner every other week, with supervision and feedback from BCBA
Conduct approximately one learner observation per week by giving feedback and instruction to technicians with supervision and feedback from BCBA
Write monthly goals for learners as directed by the BCBA
Create weekly acquisition sheets and update throughout the week as needed
Test the learners for skill generalization
Assist with the implementation of an assigned learner's behavior deceleration plan as needed
Analyze and graph learner data as directed by the BCBA
Create or update data collection system
Be available to answer questions of technicians working on learners' cases
Assist the BCBA with answering emails from parents
Follow up with the caregivers to ensure generalization of learner objectives
Check the learners' acquisition books for accuracy regarding data collection
Create, prepare, and update acquisition program materials for learners
Adjust and updates to learners' data sheets as skills meet criteria
Assist supervising BCBA in any way needed
ABA Apprentice is still required to have between 15 to 20 hours per week of direct RBT service.
Requirements
Education/Experience and Other Requirements:
The ABA Apprentice requires the candidate to be enrolled in graduate-level ABA courses and actively working toward certification as a BCBA
Licensure: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (Required)
Education: Currently enrolled in an ABA or equivalent master's program, with only two semesters (32 weeks) remaining until graduation (Required)
Fieldwork Requirement: Completion of at least 1,000 hours of supervised fieldwork in applied behavior analysis (Required)

The Philadelphia Outward Bound School Apprenticeship is an entry-level field position that provides hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world experience in outdoor education. Apprentices will follow a varied schedule designed to ensure a well-rounded experience, including at least two weeks in Challenge Course Programming, one week in Wilderness Expedition course delivery, and a minimum of three weeks focused on program logistics.
The schedule is structured to develop the skills necessary for a Seasonal Instructor role, including facilitating wilderness expeditions, challenge course programs, logistics, and team-building experiences, all aligned with Outward Bound's mission.
Our Apprenticeship is a 10- to 12-week program designed to provide Apprentices with the training and skills necessary to be an Instructor. Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, individuals will likely move into a Seasonal Instructor position. Because it takes time to develop and hone the skills needed to work in this field, we strongly suggest and ask for a two-year commitment from our Instructors. Summer 2025 Science Apprentice

The Monell Science Apprenticeship Program (MSAP) is looking for highly motivated high school and undergraduate students in the greater Philadelphia area (including Camden) for an eight-week intensive paid internship that provides the opportunity to directly participate in basic research. Our mission is to mentor students in biomedical science and our program was named one of the top 25 pre-college summer programs for learning science by Best College Reviews. We have a special interest in providing this opportunity to students who are from groups typically under-represented in the sciences, including veterans, women, individuals with disabilities, individuals from ethnic and racially marginalized groups, and from low-income households. Students with no prior experience conducting research are highly encouraged to apply.
The Monell Center is a basic research institute furthering scientific discovery on the chemical senses (taste and smell). Each summer, we offer a group of approximately twenty students the unique opportunity to work alongside our scientists in a paid apprenticeship and to learn more about careers in research - a true apprenticeship experience! Students are asked to meet the challenges of serious research responsibilities while contributing to projects at the forefront of scientific research.
Past projects that MSAP students have worked on include:
Cloning olfactory receptors and testing how they respond to odors
Investigating flavor preferences in infants, children and the elderly
Developing non-lethal repellents for agricultural pests
Studying the chemistry of air quality and how it influences people's health perceptions

Students will work with human subjects, animal subjects, and/or data. Job Description
The Horticulture Apprenticeship is designed to prepare individuals with a strong passion for plants and their care for a career in public gardens. Working with a team of horticultural experts, Apprentices receive hands-on training in all aspects of garden management and care of the living collections, with specific emphasis placed on refining a wide range of practical horticulture skills. Apprentices will also gain management experience by assisting in supervising volunteers. Through monthly educational opportunities, Apprentices will gain knowledge and insight into other aspects of public gardens.
Whomever is selected for this part-time position should expect to work upwards of 40 hours a week depending on operational need. This position pays $16.00 an hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Assist with all garden tasks, including weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and turf care.

The Electrician Apprentice is a key member of our team. This position has a critical role in the achievement of company goals including profitability and customer service. This position is for an individual that is focused on learning, growth, and becoming an Electrician capable of running his own truck in the future.
The Apprentice is responsible for assisting the Lead Techs and Installers in all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of the electrical systems in residential buildings. Electricians will respond to service calls, perform planned maintenance, inspections, as well as new installations.
It is imperative that the Electrician Apprentice at all times display a professional image, and positive attitude towards all customers.
Accountability
This is a full time position with some on call nights and weekends
Due to the nature of our jobs/ workload, it is very difficult to predict the exact end time each day. Overtime will be required as needed and will vary from day to day. Flexibility is key.
