Position Overview
As a Roofing Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced roofing professionals to learn the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems. This hands-on, entry-level role focuses on single-ply roofing systems while providing exposure to metal installations, safety practices, and equipment operation. No prior roofing experience is required-training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
Assist experienced roofers with installation and repair of commercial roofing systems, with emphasis on EPDM, TPO, and PVC
Support metal installations including coping, gutters, and edge metal
Prepare and clean job sites to maintain safe, organized work areas
Learn proper use of hand and power tools
Assist with operation of equipment such as man lifts and forklifts under supervision
Follow all safety regulations, including fall protection and OSHA requirements
Handle roofing materials and tools as directed by senior technicians
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and to high-quality standards
Qualifications
Strong desire to learn commercial roofing and construction skills
Ability to perform physical labor, lift materials, climb ladders, and work at heights
Willingness to follow safety protocols and instructions
Valid state ID or driver's license
Prior roofing or construction experience is a plus, but not required
