Key Responsibilities: Assist lead technicians with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems including furnaces, central air units, heat pumps, mini-splits, thermostats, and ventilation systems. Perform basic service tasks such as: Replacing air filters and belts Cleaning coils and condensate drains Checking and recording system pressures and temperatures Testing electrical connections and controls Monitoring refrigerant levels and reporting abnormalities Help document service calls, maintenance checklists, and customer communications accurately. Learn to interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics. Safely use hand tools, meters, gauges, and other diagnostic equipment. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, tools, and workspaces. Practice professional conduct when entering and working in customers' homes. Communicate clearly with team members and, when needed, assist with explaining system performance or service needs to homeowners. Attend ongoing training sessions, both in-house and offsite, to support development and certification. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Enrollment in or recent graduation from a certified HVAC training program preferred. EPA 608 certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and handle seasonal temperature extremes. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
