The Opportunity Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Machining Apprentices to join our team! The apprentice will be registered with the Department of Labor under a CNC Machining apprenticeship program. The program will include on the job training as well as instructor led courses through one of our partner organizations, Ogden/Weber Tech, Davis Tech, or Bridgerland Tech Colleges. The training will start in entry-level manufacturing until the apprentice has completed enough coursework with the tech college to be able to run a machine. At that time, the apprentice with work with a mentor, learning hands-on machining and will work to complete a machining certificate. The apprenticeship training period is for 1 year with a requirement of receiving a machining certificate from one of the Tech Colleges. After successful completion, the candidate will finish in an off-shift position as a permanent full-time employee. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience in areas demonstrating mechanical aptitude is desired Physical lifting requirements include ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
