Help assemble and sew the gear that protects workers every day - fire suits that save lives!
As a stitching machine operator, you will utilize a variety of industrial single needle, double needle and programmable machines to stitch one of over 100 operations needed to complete the turnout gear shell or liner. As a machine operator, you will also work on snapping, seam seal, automated stitching, labeling, inspection and final packaging. Every operator is responsible for the quality of their work.

About the Role:
The Laborer position is a vital role responsible for supporting various manual tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of construction, manufacturing, or maintenance projects. The primary goal is to assist skilled tradespeople by preparing and maintaining work sites, handling materials, and ensuring safety standards are met. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately to help complete projects on time and within quality standards. The Laborer will work closely with team members to facilitate smooth workflow and contribute to a productive and safe working environment. Ultimately, this position plays a key part in the successful execution of projects by providing essential support and maintaining operational readiness on site. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all on-site equipment, including but not limited to front-end loaders, forklifts, skid loaders and grinders. The position reports to the Operations Manager. Must be able to operate large pieces of equipment safely and effectively, and be able to self-perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with the operating equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:

Description: Seeking Production and Labor employees for a local manufacturing facility. The Production Laborer assembles components and sections of trusses, walls, and flooring. This role requires precise measurements, the use of hand tools, and a strong focus on accuracy and quality. Candidates must be able to work in all environmental conditions and maintain consistent safety and performance standards.
Job Requirements: Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, safely operate and work with hand tools, and lift up to 70 lbs. Steel toed boots are required, and candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions. Seeking those with previous production and general labor backgrounds.
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:00pm; Saturday, 6:00am-12:00pm

This position requires the ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, perform precise electrical connections, and ensure all work meets established quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced with hand tools and basic electrical wiring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Construct wiring harnesses for prototypes and limited production applications.
Read, interpret, and follow wiring schematics, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, bills of material, and assembly instructions to accurately assemble products.
Understand how wiring harnesses integrate with overall system operations.
Make proper electrical connections and select appropriate connectors and components.
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
Accurately distinguish wire colors and follow detailed assembly procedures.
Use hand tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors through both written and verbal channels.
Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Mechanical and/or wiring knowledge is required.
Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.

Previous experience working with or assembling wiring harnesses preferred.
Experience using hand tools required.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional demeanor.
