    Assembly line worker job in Columbus, MS

    Duties/Responsibilities: Performs assembly of wiring harnesses and mechanical components using hand and power tools. Reads and interprets engineering instructions, specifications, and work orders. Uses precision measuring instruments and tools required for the tasks. Inspects work for conformance to specifications. Completes all work correctly and in a timely manner. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to use hand and power tools with precision. Working knowledge of pneumatics. Working knowledge of wire harness and electronics installation. Working knowledge of acceptance testing and troubleshooting. Basic shop math in metric and imperial units. Work well both independently and with others. Able to identify issues and determine solutions in a timely manner. Basic computer skills. Organized with attention to detail. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed. Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Education and Experience: High School or GED. Vocational, or Community College degree preferred. Demonstrated work experience in a similar position. IPC-610, IPC-620, and/or J-STD certifications preferred. Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C. ยง 6010.
