Primary Function:
Inspector B will determine overall product compliance by performing process/product evaluations via process monitoring and/or auditing for capability and control. Perform all process/product inspections of purchased/manufactured components/assemblies for development and production programs.

Perform the duties of Inspector C and in addition:
- Determine and utilize inspection procedures, set-up necessary inspection tools and equipment where fixtures are not provided such as: measuring microscope, Rockwell hardness tester, profilometer, height gauge, Cadillac gauge, dial indicator, parallel bars, right angle knee, gauge blocks, precision pins, bench center, V blocks, sine bar, surface plate, optical comparator (shadow graph) computer-aided measuring equipment, laser measuring devices and the like. Work from additional information such as sketches and Westinghouse/Government/Military specifications.
- Make necessary measurements, check accuracy, set and adjust precision inspection equipment and special manufacturing acceptance tools and fixtures, where methods and procedures have been established and complexity is within the scope of this description. Select and utilize gauge stands such as super micrometers, torque calibrator, planekator, indiron, standard measuring machine, master gauges, optical plat, precision comparator thread setting plug/ring gauge and the like and inspect proto-type electronic assemblies and complex micro-circuit assemblies.
- When detected, record drawing errors and deviations from applicable specifications. Make necessary mathematical calculations to determine dimensions such as thickness, depth, angle, tapers, arcs, volumes, areas and physical characteristics such as elongation, shear strength, etc. Notify manufacturing/supervision and/or higher classified personnel of any such deviations or defects occurring in an area and identify needs for remedial actions.
- Inspect shipment and shipping paperwork such as Government/Customer shipping documents, contracts waivers/deviations, packaging and preservation information and the like to applicable specifications and sign to verify acceptance by Quality Control.
- Perform first piece, patrol, sampling, PCA (Physical Conjuration Audit) and final inspection on a variety of complete electro-mechanical LRU's, Systems and fabricated mechanical assemblies. Visually inspect for factors such as shaft and bearing alignment, sliding fits and alignments and conformance to appropriate electrical assembly specifications and standards. Assist higher classified inspection personnel in performing first article inspection.
- Inspect castings and forging where prior sample approval has been given. Inspect machined parts and Sheetmetal fabrications of a complex nature which are characterized by such factors as many related dimensions, a variety of arcs, curves, and compound angles, irregular contours and an absence of locating surfaces, to assure conformity to quality specifications.
- Inspect spotwelded and/or fusion welded assemblies for dimension and weld quality. Check set-up of spotwelding equipment including time, pressure and current controls of machines, tip size and shape. Periodically witness result of micro-tech and mechanical tests for penetration strength and location of weld. Perform non-destructive inspection such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic and review of X-ray film of electronic assemblies also to identify imperfections.
- Perform first piece tool and tape inspection approvals where procedures have been established and the approval consists of inspecting pieces that is within the complexity of this description. This would include such approvals as electronic cable form boards, manufacturing product samples, mill and/or drill tools, Sheetmetal templates and the like.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition and maintain records of equipment calibrated.

Utilizing machinery such as forklifts to load and unload orders.
Maintaining the quality and upkeep of warehouse equipment including machinery.
Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time.
Handling customer concerns and rerouting escalated complaints to appropriate department leads.
Supporting a safe and tidy work environment.

Job Description
The entry level Assembler is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to assemble parts in the Containment department. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the Containment department.
Responsibilities
Has working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the Containment department.
Assembles containment doors, partitions, and other products per product specifications.
Detects faulty materials used to assemble parts and reports findings to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
Completes production reporting and quality paperwork accurately as required.
Uses banding equipment and hand-jacks to ensure proper movement or storage of product or material.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed by Team Leader or Supervisor.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
Follows all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. repetitively unassisted for an 8-hour shift.
Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges.
Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
