What You Will Be Doing
As an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical assembly operations on critical military sub-assemblies and systems, following detailed written instructions and leveraging your technical skills to drive quality and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

• Utilizes simple engineering drawings, engineering change notices, schematics and similar data which broadly depict the work to be performed.
• Installs parts, subassemblies and assemblies where locations are pre-determined, obtained from adjacent parts or located by simple measurement from fixed points.
• Performs simple operations such as wire cutting, soldering, stripping, bending, splicing, bundling, wire routing, marking, crimping, swaging, connector fabrication, mixing, bonding, potting, embedding, encapsulation, drilling with tooling or pilot holes where tolerances are not critical, routing, riveting, optical handling, optical cleaning, simple optical assembly, , touch-up brush conformal coating and chem film, and other similar activities associated with production assembly operations.
• Assembles optical and mechanical assemblies consisting of a number of optical elements and mechanical components. Assures proper orientation of optical elements and uses care in placing into position optical and mechanical components. Bonds optical elements into mechanical housings and prepares RTV rubber compounds, epoxies, and UV cements in accordance with directions provided. Places elements in housing and centers using mechanical centering tools such as pins and shims. Utilizes existing set-ups of auto collimation, zygo machine and other optical alignment equipment during assembly build. Measures and records step heights between optics and housing.
• Performs visual, continuity, pressure, leak, in-process checks as may be required to verify completed work.
• Performs tapping, reaming, scraping, filing, lapping, adjusting, collimating and measuring.
• Fabricates simple wire harnesses, assemblies, and subassemblies of electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical devices.
• Performs simple fabrication and assembly operations utilizing microscopes, drill presses, pin presses, torque wrenches, soldering and de-soldering tools, various hand tools, simple measuring instruments and continuity buzzers.

Assembly Associate - Monday thru Friday - Day Shift 5AM-2PM

Signature Systems is hiring multiple Assembly Associates for our DAY shift. Assembly Associates assemble finished products and the parts that go into them. You will use tool use tools such as drills, circular saws, torque wrenches, deburring tools, nail guns, band saws, hand routers and small sledgehammers. To be successful in this position, you must be able to read and use a tape measure.
Essential duties include:
Assemble and install screws and cams into semi-finished product (large composite/plastic mats).
Weld mats with weld gun.
Debur weld seams.
Conduct quality control checks.
Maintain and keep work area clean.
Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift.
Work well with others in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and speak English due to the safety sensitivity of this role.
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Experience working with hand tools such as the ones listed above preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to adapt to environmental changes and working conditions, such as temperature and noise.
Must have transportation to and from work.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Salary: $15.00 per hour
