Summary:
Production Operator II is responsible for working with computers to process daily production. Production Operator II must be able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail. Creating and maintaining a clean work environment is crucial to the overall quality of our products. Production Operators are required to have flexibility to train and move between functional areas. Production Operator II will be required to do both bench work and machine operations. Production Operators will be required to work in a team environment. Punctuality and communication are crucial for the success of the team.
Requirements
Set up and label SMT products
Component preparation, masking and using different types of adhesives.
Mechanical assembly
Through hole and SMT hand soldering and rework.
Interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications. (Certified training will be provided)
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Language Skills:

Summary of the Position
The Assembly Technician position is an essential role on our manufacturing team. This position focuses on the assembly of parts and components for all Potter Global Technologies products. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Essential Functions:
Use soldering irons, tweezers and other standard wiring and assembly tools in sub-assembly and final assembly procedures.
Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics and travelers.
Use of caliper, micrometer or other measurement devices as required.
Perform mechanical assembly with hand and power tools as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience or 2-year post-secondary/Associate degree with 2 years relevant experience.
Ability to use a microscope to perform assembly procedures for an extended period.
Ability to work with small parts/components.

* Follow and install all the safety requirements of the system.
* Modifying component according to engineering request. Drill and tap holes, cutting slots, cutting parts, opening holes, grinding surfaces, rewire and change electrical components.
* Report issues to the supervisor, engineering and quality team.
* Test and adjusts mechanical and electrical assemblies following the assembly instructions and check lists.
* Run the equipment and help with the FAT (Final Acceptance Test).
* Collaborate with the service department. Help install the equipment on the customer site.
* Following the project schedule and keeping truck of the production order schedule. Reporting the issues to the schedule to the supervisor.
* Accurate control of inventory using production orders. Collaborate with inventory for maintaining all needed parts for the project.
* Navigate to our Inventory, Project and File Management systems.
* Forklift Operation trained or willing to have Forklift Operation Training.
