Where you will work The Augusta mill sits along the Savannah River, on the state border between Georgia and South Carolina and manufactures light, medium, and heavyweight coated paperboard. It is a well-invested SBS paperboard manufacturing facility with approximately 600 thousand tons of capacity. This facility boasts over 700 employees and has been in operation for almost 65 years. Located on 3,000 acres, the Augusta site operates two paper machines that produce 1,940 tons per day. What you will do The entry-level Production Laborer will be responsible for the operation of various mill production equipment, general housekeeping tasks, accurately reading tape measures and gauges and other test equipment, following directions, ensuring quality, and monitoring the process to produce quality products. Summary: Perform routine production assembly on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations Select correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, standards, and hardware for installations Install, fit, fasten, align, and adjust structural components using production and engineering prints to determine exact locations Perform necessary pre-installation assembly work to accomplish installations accurately Apply aerospace systems knowledge including hydraulic, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, and waste/potable water systems Requirements: High school diploma or GED Must be able to work variable shifts: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Overtime scheduled based on business needs, may include weekends Years of systems assembly experience must be clearly noted on resume Aerospace systems experience should include: Hydraulic systems ICS (Intercommunication Systems) PECS (Passenger Entertainment & Control Systems) Duct installation IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) Interior decorative repair Waste and potable water systems Minimum of 1 year direct aerospace systems experience, preferably 3+ years Resume must clearly indicate school name, program, and graduation date Graduates from aeronautical programs (PIA, Embry-Riddle, etc.) will be considered; selected candidates will start after graduation Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
