MAJOR FUNCTION This position is responsible for the assembly, complete machine documentation and other various assembly operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Build standard machine as required by daily shipping report; follow checklists and manufacturing order definitions. Refer to machine check lists as steps of assembly operation - before release to testing. Record and complete machine documentation information, such as (Serial number, Date, Model, Initials) on machine completions log book. Verify M.O. matched actual approved machine and contents of M.O. including correct materials and labor time. Report defective assemblies or components to final Assembly Lead and replace as required. Must have electrical background related to assembly. Must be able to perform heavy assembly in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to build and maintain high quality standards. Must have heavy assembly experience. Assist with other machine assemblies as required. Build custom machines as required or assigned. Prep stock trailers (tires, axles, etc.) if required. Perform production unit clean up tasks as assigned in work instruction and safety standards. Sweep machine building path daily or as required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent; previous heavy machine assembly experience , with at least (5) years of experience. Must be mechanically inclined and use of power tools. KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write and speak English effectively. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, and electrical assemblies. Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products such as swimming pool filters, housings, and cartridges by performing the following duties: Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together. Tends machines, such as gluing machine, perforating machines, rotaries, presses or riveting machine, to perform force fitting or fastening operations. This is a 3rd Shift . Midnight to 7:00am, Work 6.5 hours a shift and get paid for 8 hours. What You Will Do Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques. This process may involve surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gages, or other equipment. The Inspector will be accepting or rejecting material based on findings. Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings. Work with other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment. Accepting or referring material for rework or quality review based on findings. Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines. Program instructions are well-defined will be checking dimensions and record results.
