    Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator and Assembler. The core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.80 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: * Plan and perform a normal range of setups, fabrication and machining operations on various machine shop equipment including single and multiple spindle drill presses; vertical milling machines, wire cutting, stripping and lug nut machines using standard methods. * Use a variety of hand, pneumatic and power tools such as screwdrivers, nut runners, wrenches, taps, etc. to completely assemble, gauge, wire, check and pack a wide variety of components for explosion proof products. * Use all necessary machine attachments; select tools, feeds and speeds according to type of material and finish requirements. * Square up and layout production run or special castings for machining operations using available jigs and fixtures to facilitate work. * Work with close tolerances on a variety of metals such as steel, brass, bronze, iron and aluminum. * Use drilling tool and replace drill tools and grind drills as necessary. * Assemble using bolts, screws nuts, washers, etc., file and remove burrs; apply grease to screw threads and screw on covers or oil cover and body; check for tight joints using feeler gauge; tighten bolts on cover; assemble nameplates to covers as necessary with self-tapping screws; assemble switches or breakers. * Pack, label, and seal products as prescribed. Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: * Minimum one (1) year previous work experience in machine operation * Minimum one (1) year previous assembly experience * No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
