    Computer Science - to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses. The School has a strong commitment to undergraduate research and offers ABET-accredited undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Information Technology, along with a graduate master's degree. All programs feature small classes in a new building and a collaborative team of faculty with national distinction in undergraduate research mentoring.

    Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; demonstrated scholarly capability; and an established and active independent research agenda in one of several core areas of interest, including, but not limited to: operating and distributed systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, computer science education, data science, systems programming and computational science is required. Candidates with industry and teaching experience are encouraged to apply. ABD candidates will be considered with degree completion by September 1, 2023.

    Positions are ten-month, full-time, tenure-track assignments at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor effective for the Fall 2023 semester, unless otherwise indicated. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Evening hours are required for teaching graduate course assignments. Courses may be taught at the Union campus, Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands or other locations.

    All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and an on-going program of research and publication or creative and performance activity. Participation in curriculum development, student advisement and service at the departmental/school, college, university and community level is also required. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required, consistent with University guidelines.
