This is not a surgical position. This position would cover a medically complex patient population which would include: adults post-liver transplant in the ICU, inpatient regular nursing floor, as well as cross-coverage of the inpatient pediatric liver transplant patients. This provider will be responsible for the overall medical management of the patient post liver transplant as well as inpatient liver transplant surgical consults. There will also be coverage of the outpatient liver transplant clinics as needed. Daily virtual or onsite visits to local LTACs and subacute facility will also be required on a rotational basis. The hours for this position will be four 10 hour shifts per week to include occasional weekends. Coverage and hours may change depending on practice needs. The ideal candidate will be willing to work well with a team, but also be comfortable functioning autonomously. New graduates are welcome to apply. Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Job Description Responsibilities: Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. Works in collaboration with the health care team. Performs and interprets common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals. Performs routine and specialized procedures as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals. May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by license through applicable state board and Cleveland Clinic policies. Educates patients and answers questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards. Marymount Hospital is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for their Internal Medicine Service. This position will encompass care for patients on Med/Surg units. This position is full-time evenings and is subject to change at any time based on the Hospital's needs. The ideal candidate has direct experience performing comprehensive physical assessments and managing routine and complex medical conditions with a high level of autonomy. New graduate applicants would ideally have completed fellowship, inpatient clinical rotations, including internal medicine, during graduate training. Previous experience in inpatient medicine, inpatient consult services, critical care and/or EPIC is a plus.
