Inputs beverage and food orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest and processes payment. Observes guests to ensure that they are satisfied with the beverage, food and service, to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the guest is finished. Responsible for slicing and pitting fruits or vegetables for garnishing drinks. Stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality. Washes and sterilizes glassware. Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards. Assist with monthly inventory. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Previous bartending experience is required, preferably in a fast-paced upscale dining establishment with high food volume. Strong food and beverage knowledge to include beer, wine and spirits and be familiar with standard drink recipes. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Delaware Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement Alcohol Beverage Server Training Certification. Must be well-organized, outgoing and friendly. Must possess the ability to work with a computer system for the purpose of ordering and processing payments. Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of time of up to eight (8) hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
