5. Drives talent plans and actions for the assigned organization and partners with leadership to develop workforce plans that anticipate talent needs, enable proactive sourcing, and ensure effective on-boarding.
6. Monitors and drives consistent delivery of HR policies and practices across assigned organization and ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources.
7. Leads effective and timely communication to leadership and employees on significant, relevant changes in HR policies and practices.
8. Oversees the assigned organization's employee relations function, which may include issues related to performance management, workforce realignments, mergers and acquisitions, and other employee relations activities.
9. Leads the assessment and delivery of education, communication, and training initiatives that address operational and regulatory requirements for the assigned organization in alignment with BSWH business objectives.
10. Drives continuous HR process improvement, including assessing, evaluating, and recommending HR models, tools, and technologies that standardize, automate, and optimize BSWH HR processes.
**KEY SUCCESS FACTORS**
1. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related degree. Master's degree preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field, with healthcare experience preferred.

**Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist** Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a fellowship trained, board certified/board eligible, Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for our Advanced Heart Failure Transplant team for the Greater Austin Region. Our heart failure services, including remote monitoring, disease-specific approaches such as amyloidosis and sarcoidosis as well as heart transplant/ventricular assist devices, temporary MCS and our involvement in interdisciplinary programs are growing.
You will join a team of 9 advanced heart failure specialists that serve the advanced heart disease, replacement and recovery program at BSWH for Central Texas and Greater Austin. Our regional team currently supports approximately 200 temporary mechanical circulatory support devices and 50 heart replacements annually with a focus on quality and longitudinal well-being for our patients and caregivers. The advanced heart failure team supports interdisciplinary programs as part of a integrated-based approach including robust structural, surgical, and multimodality imaging team members.
The position is dedicated for expanding our advanced heart failure services for BSWH in the Greater Austin Region, focused on inpatient and outpatient services in Lakeway and Round Rock hospitals.
The candidate will have additional predominant inpatient service responsibilities related to the LVAD/HTx program with an expected inpatient rounding, VAD/HTx clinic, including ECHO for VAD/HTx and invasive procedures (RHC, Implantable PA monitor and endomyocardial biopsies) will be available to be performed in Lakeway.
Duties include inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service. Additional responsibilities may include ACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and rotating service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Round Rock and BSWH Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas
**_Qualifications_**
· Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants.
· An interest in education and research is encouraged, but not essential.
· Provide coverage for Transplant, inpatient and outpatient services.
· Predominant amount of time in Lakeway.
· Expected call 1:4 in Round Rock location (Recovery program)
· Expected call 6 weeks a year in Temple location (VAD/HTx program)

Support the EC and EM programs at assigned hospitals to promote alignment with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with their manager/director and hospital department leaders to monitor and improve safety outcomes.
Assist with the Environment of Care (EC) and Life Safety (LS) portions of The Joint Commission survey process to ensure successful accreditation and licensing.
Assist in identifying risks and implement corrective actions for the hospital's fire safety programs to improve compliance with NFPA standards, focusing on fire prevention, life safety, and emergency evacuation systems. This includes audits and safety rounds as well as reporting findings appropriately.
Support the implementation of safety programs focusing on OSHA compliance, risk management, and injury prevention as directed by the ECEM manager/director.
Support the hospital's emergency management programs, including disaster response, crisis management, evacuation protocols, and Command Center operations.
Support and monitors environmental and life safety compliance in construction and renovation projects according to applicable code requirements such as Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) and infection control requirements including regular construction permit meetings with appropriate departments to maintain a safe environment during construction projects.
Assist with hazardous materials management, chemicals, and waste within the hospital environment according to OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), as well as environmental guidelines. This includes testing, record-keeping, training, and follow up tasks for environmental monitoring as directed.
Facilitate and coordinate safety training programs for hospital staff to enhance awareness of EC and EM protocols, emergency procedures, and safety best practices.

Orders appropriate pre-op evaluations and pre-medications after consultation with the anesthesiologist, who is then responsible for these orders. Develops a patient focused culture that promotes the BEST Patient Care.
Initiates multi-parameter monitoring prior to anesthesia or in other acute care settings. Modalities include, but are not limited to, ASA Standard Monitors, arterial and venous catheters. Accurately manipulates and interprets data from central venous, pulmonary artery and intracranial catheters and other monitors or devices that are indicated.
Assists in the post-operative management of patients. Manages post-op ventilator support and acute pain management in conjunction with existing protocols or the attending anesthesiologist.

Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a fellowship trained, board certified/board eligible, Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for our Advanced Heart Failure Transplant team for the Greater Austin Region. Our heart failure services, including remote monitoring, disease-specific approaches such as amyloidosis and sarcoidosis as well as heart transplant/ventricular assist devices, temporary MCS and our involvement in interdisciplinary programs are growing.
You will join a team of 9 advanced heart failure specialists that serve the advanced heart disease, replacement and recovery program at BSWH for Central Texas and Greater Austin. Our regional team currently supports approximately 200 temporary mechanical circulatory support devices and 50 heart replacements annually with a focus on quality and longitudinal well-being for our patients and caregivers. The advanced heart failure team supports interdisciplinary programs as part of a integrated-based approach including robust structural, surgical, and multimodality imaging team members.
The position is dedicated for expanding our advanced heart failure services for BSWH in the Greater Austin Region, focused on inpatient and outpatient services in Lakeway and Round Rock hospitals.
The candidate will have additional predominant inpatient service responsibilities related to the LVAD/HTx program with an expected inpatient rounding, VAD/HTx clinic, including ECHO for VAD/HTx and invasive procedures (RHC, Implantable PA monitor and endomyocardial biopsies) will be available to be performed in Lakeway.
Duties include inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service. Additional responsibilities may include ACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and rotating service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Round Rock and BSWH Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas
Qualifications
* Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants.
* An interest in education and research is encouraged, but not essential.
* Provide coverage for Transplant, inpatient and outpatient services.
* Predominant amount of time in Lakeway.
* Expected call 1:4 in Round Rock location (Recovery program)
* Expected call 6 weeks a year in Temple location (VAD/HTx program)

Prepares patient and area for procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Protects patients and team members by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols and techniques. Uses proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements.
Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment. Reports issues to management or appropriate department. Assists in maintaining supplies inventory. Ensures individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
