Job Description:
· The primary function of the Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavior interventions to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges
· The BCBA also consults with RBT's and other therapeutic team members (i.e., caregivers, Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, etc.) how to implement behavior analytic strategies; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans; and monitors progress regularly by analyzing data
· The BCBA manages the child's ABA Team and provides ongoing training and direct supervision to team members
· Direct supervision for RBTs who deliver direct ABA services to clients
· Use appropriate assessment tools and data to develop and implement individualized behavior analytic treatment plans
· Monitor and modify treatment plans based on direct observations, therapist or parent feedback and objective data collected by therapists or parents

Summary
HHMI is seeking a Contracts Counsel for its Office of the General Counsel (OGC) to help support HHMI's programs and operations by providing informed, practical, creative, and timely legal counsel in the review and negotiation of research‑related agreements. As a member of the dynamic team in HHMI's OGC, you will be directly involved in HHMI's mission of advancing biomedical research for the benefit of humanity.
The person in this role will review and negotiate contracts relating to the conduct of research in HHMI laboratories. These contracts include agreements covering the transfer of reagents and other materials into and from HHMI laboratories (inbound and outgoing Materials Transfer Agreements or MTAs and MTOs). In addition, the Contracts Counsel ensures that inter‑institutional agreements (IIAs) and licenses entered into by third‑party research institutions that relate to technology developed in HHMI laboratories are consistent with HHMI's policies and interests. The Contracts Counsel will work closely with other OGC staff, HHMI scientific management, HHMI laboratory heads and staff, and research institution staff to efficiently resolve issues relating to MTAs, MTOs, IIAs, and licenses.
This position reports to the Deputy General Counsel and works under the general supervision of the Deputy General Counsel and one Senior Contracts Counsel. We will consider either remote or hybrid working arrangements, given the candidate's preference.

Work collaboratively in the MTLR group to resolve legal and practical issues arising in MTA negotiation and processing.
Perform MTO Review: review and edit MTOs and advise assigned institutions as needed on questions relating to MTOs, such as MTO terms acceptable to HHMI.
Perform IIA and License Review: provide timely comments to assigned research institutions on IIAs, options, and licenses, consistent with HHMI policies.
Consult and coordinate with others in OGC and at HHMI, including Senior Director‑Scientific Officers and Senior Director‑Scientific Program Officers, as appropriate, on MTA, MTO, and license issues.
Update and maintain electronic databases associated with MTAs, MTOs, and licenses in a timely manner.
Assist the MTLR group and other OGC staff in suggesting, evaluating, documenting, and implementing improvements to HHMI procedures and practices for handling MTAs, MTOs, and licenses.
Maintain a current knowledge of legal issues and current practices in the scientific community relevant to MTAs, MTOs, and licenses, including through participation in continuing legal education and membership in appropriate bar and professional associations. As opportunities arise, support efforts of HHMI laboratories and the broader scientific community to promote the availability of reagents and other research materials.
What you bring
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Active membership in good standing with an established bar required.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate, aggressive, and skilled IP lawyer to serve as Lead Counsel, IP. Reporting to our CFO, this is a highly critical role and will own IP efforts on a global scale across Eight Sleep's suite of hardware, software, and other products. You will partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and heads of R&D and Operations to develop a proactive global IP strategy across our product portfolio. You will be responsible for harvesting new IP, submitting new filings, and responding to office actions. What You'll Be Doing
Develop and execute Eight Sleep's global IP strategy across patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
Manage the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, leveraging external counsel where appropriate.
Conduct FTO, prior art, and clearance analyses to support product development and commercialization.
Oversee IP due diligence for strategic partnerships and other business transactions.

What We're Looking For
J.D. degree
Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in‑house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)

SUBJECT: TEACHER - GUIDANCE COUNSELOR REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: This position is accountable for meeting the development needs of secondary students and to assist them as they face many critical issues in the process of growing and developing through the use of counseling, consulting, coordinating, managing, and teaching a developmental guidance curriculum consistent with the policies of the Worcester Public Schools and relevant State laws and regulations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)
1. Responsible for assisting students in identifying problems, thinking them through and developing within themselves the ability to make decisions.
2. Responsible for helping prevent problems from developing with the aim of reducing the need for crisis counseling.
3. Responsible for pre-referral conferences with school personnel in a team context for the appropriate referral of a student for needed services.
4. Responsible for individual and/or group short-term counseling with or: otherwise assisting students.
5. Responsible for assisting students in planning programs of study to meet life objectives.
6. Responsible for helping students and parents assess student occupational goals, to utilize career resource materials effectively; and to assist teachers in developing student's awareness of career goals.
7. Responsible for providing crisis intervention and conflict resolution services when requested by school personnel.
8. Responsible for providing outreach and follow-up for students referred because of attendance problems.
9. Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.
10.Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Massachusetts licensure as a School Guidance Counselor.
2. Evidence of mastery of development counseling techniques.
3. Ability to understand the dynamics of families from various cultural backgrounds.
4. Two years' experience working with school-age children and their families.
5. Familiarity in working with consultants, resources personnel, community groups, etc.
6. Ability to produce concise reports concerning relevant development social and medical information.
7. Group work experience.
8. Ability to deal with typical issues as eating disorders; pregnancy; alcohol and other drug abuse; sexual identity; family conflict; and physical, sexual and psychological abuse.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Training in, and experience in conflict resolution techniques.
2. Experience working in schools and/or social service agencies with clients from culturally and socio-economically diverse backgrounds.
3. Experience in providing a developmental curriculum to students in the areas of social skill development, career awareness, and decision making.
4. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
5. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language
6. Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition
WORK YEAR: 185 days
WORK DAY: School Days, with some flexibility for afternoon and evening meetings.
SALARY: $50/hour, 6 hours/day
Long Term Substitute assignment currently through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate may be offered the opportunity to continue in this, or a similar, placement as needed.

The Long Term Substitute Guidance Counselor will work to advance a shared understanding of the diverse, ever-changing and complex social and emotional needs of the school community. The Guidance Counselor will participate in and facilitate groups, meetings and serve as a liaison for families/caregivers, community stakeholders, teachers and other staff in order to best meet the needs of the student body.
The Counselor will work primarily with students in grades K-4 and will also work in conjunction with the Guidance Counselors for grades 4-8, the Social Worker, and the School Psychologist.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Consults with staff about student needs
* Counsels with parents to build partnerships that support school work, behavior, attendance, and student investment
* Serves as liaison between the school and outside agencies and clinicians, as needed to support students
* Acts as a link between home, school, and staff to address issues affecting students and help students maximize their learning
potential and cope with these issues
* Schedule and conduct Kindergarten screenings
* Helps families better understand the school programs
* Helps families make appropriate social agency contacts as needed
* Assists individual students directly with adjustment to school
* Participates with other members of the Child Study Team in case conferences and regular staff meetings
* Provides individual, group, and crisis counseling to students as needed
* Adept in character-based lesson planning and delivery (whole class, push-in)
* Performs other related duties as assigned by the principal or district administration

* Mass DESE Guidance Counselor or School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor certification
