*Position Summary:*
The Behavior Specialist plays a critical role in providing specialized behavioral support services to individuals across various settings. This position involves developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans and providing training and support to Care Team Staff. The Behavior Specialist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective and consistent application of behavior support strategies. *Primary Responsibilities:*
* Acts as a member of a team addressing significant behavioral and/or medical changes in consumers and regularly reviews and revises the Behavior Support Plan (BSP) and any related support guidelines or restrictive procedures plans with input from key persons such as the supported individual, other care team members, and external stakeholders.
* Trains staff directly working with the consumer to implement the BSP; may model how to work with the consumer and directly intervene when challenging behavior occurs. May assist with general training of staff regarding behavior management.
* Develops and implements multi-site crisis management and behavioral management support services including on-site staff support, as well as hands on crisis management assistance if required. May be available by phone when emergencies occur; may assist in person.
* Provides support and debriefing to staff and individuals supported following incidents, including conducting post-crisis management services reviews and consultation.
* Compiles internal and external reports as required; analyzes data and makes recommendations.
* Ensure program records are properly maintained, and reports are prepared and submitted on time, including but not limited to, time and attendance and electronic case records. Enters data into an electronic consumer database each day of work.
* Assists in communicating with family members and friends of the individuals supported as appropriate.
* Participates in inter-agency meetings for the supported individual and assists with the development of outcomes and goals.
* Assists with resident abuse and neglect assessment issues and communicate findings with home manager, compliance, clinical and operations' leadership. Cooperates regarding investigations and inspections.
* Performs On-Call as required.
*Education and Qualifications:*
* Must be 21 years of age or older
* Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum 1-2 years' experience working with both mentally ill and intellectually disabled adult populations is preferred
* Experience with behavioral assessments and interventions with complex, high intense/high frequency behaviors is required.
* Skilled in teaching and coaching staff to implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
* Approved by the state, federal, and local governmental entities to work within BSLS programs.
* Maintains own mandatory training and certification requirements.
* Required experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

Summary:
The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) will devise behavior-based treatment for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. This person will be dedicated to providing exceptional care. The BCaBA will complete assessments and devise treatment plans in accordance with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy guidelines. Treatment plans focus on skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols. Supervision of Behavior Analysis Technicians (BATs) for therapy and clinical guidance required. Scheduled days and hours vary and may include evenings and weekends. BCaBA reports directly to the ABA Program Manager.

The BCaBA will coordinate the development and implementation of appropriate behavior management protocols based on individual participant behavior intervention plans.
Model and assist with the implementation of appropriate behavior management techniques based on individual intervention plans.
Conduct initial assessments with participants, review current assessments annually and conduct updated assessments.
Write behavior intervention plans and monitor their implementation and effectiveness for participants; assist in, and monitor, the collection of data and implementation of such plans to ensure success.
Provide direct support to technicians using ABA approved methodologies to enhance teacher instruction.
Schedule and meet with technicians and families to provide research-based and/or peer reviewed interventions.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as requested.
Provide staff development as necessary to technicians regarding effective interventions and positive behavioral supports and techniques.
Provide supervision to Behavior Analysis Technicians (BATs) as needed/assigned.
The BCaBA will collaborate with the ABA leadership team with regards to creating and maintaining staff and client schedules.
The BCaBA will collaborate with the ABA leadership team to assure staffing for sick leave and vacations.

Solid knowledge of the behavioral impact of developmental disabilities, as well as the cognitive, educational, vocational, and social challenges encountered by persons with developmental disabilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
Ability to work effectively with various technology including word processing software, internet based databases, etc.
The capacity to work in a team with intermittent supervision.

Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will devise behavioral‐based treatment for children and teens with developmental disabilities. This person will be dedicated to providing exceptional care. The BCBA will complete assessments and devise treatment plans in accordance with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy guidelines. Treatment plans focus on skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols. Supervision of therapy and clinical guidance required for Qualified Behavior Health Professionals (QBHPs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) and Behavior Analysis Technicians (BATs). The BCBA reports directly to the Director of Youth Services.

Provide both formal and informal clinical guidance to all other clinical staff including QBHP, BCaBA as well as BATs.
Participate in and represent the ABA Center of Pioneer Resources in various public outreach and advocacy opportunities as assigned.
Work closely with the ABA Manager and clinical leadership team to guide best practice initiatives and processes for the program.
Coordinate the development and implementation of appropriate behavior management protocols based on individual participant behavior intervention plans.
Model and assist with the implementation of appropriate behavior management techniques based on individual intervention plans.
Conduct initial assessments with participants, review current assessments and conduct updated assessments at least every six months.

Provide professional supervision to QBHPs, BATs and BCaBAs as required by the BACB.

Collaborate with the ABA leadership team to assure staffing for sick leave and vacations.
