We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Specialist to take full ownership of the wastewater treatment systems at our client's wastewater facility. This is a critical, hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, optimization, and compliance of the site's wastewater treatment processes.
The successful candidate will be the subject-matter expert for wastewater operations on site, ensuring system reliability, environmental compliance, and continuous performance improvement. This is a fully onsite position requiring deep technical capability and operational accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Process Control
Own and operate the wastewater treatment systems, ensuring stable, compliant, and efficient performance at all times
Monitor influent/effluent quality, process parameters, flows, and treatment performance
Optimise treatment processes to handle variable loads and operating conditions
Core Technology Ownership
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot centrifugation systems, including solids separation and dewatering
Manage and optimise MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) systems, including membrane performance, cleaning protocols, and integrity monitoring
Oversee transfer systems, including pumps, piping, valves, and conveyance infrastructure
Maintenance & Reliability
Develop and execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs for wastewater assets
Troubleshoot mechanical, process, and instrumentation issues impacting treatment performance
Coordinate with maintenance teams and external service providers when required
Maintain accurate maintenance and operational record
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental permits, discharge limits, and regulatory requirements
Support sampling, testing, documentation, and regulatory reporting
Prepare for and support internal and external audits and inspections
Safety & Site Integration
Champion safe working practices and adherence to site safety standards
Work closely with site operations, utilities, and environmental teams to ensure seamless integration with broader facility operations
Required Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience operating industrial or municipal wastewater treatment systems
Hands-on expertise with centrifugation, MBR systems, and wastewater transfer systems (mandatory)
Strong understanding of biological, mechanical, and membrane-based treatment processes
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting complex process issues
Familiarity with environmental compliance, permits, and regulatory inspections
Comfortable working in a fully onsite, operational environment

OVERVIEW OF POSITION: Under direct supervision, provides quality clinical supervision and work direction to direct reports, providing discipline- specific treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Oversees all components of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs of his/her caseload, ensuring high quality and the use of best- practice guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Facilitates behavior programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), conducts behavior assessments and functions as an Assessor when needed. Provides parent education, develops and delivers specific intervention activities, and functions as a liaison between the organization, families, community, therapists, health care providers, etc.
Conducts evaluations, case-management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits as assigned by Regional Clinical Director. Meets productivity requirements set forth in annual budget.
Leads and/or attends staff meetings. Prepares and provides specialized training and instructional materials including staff development training, as assigned by Regional Clinical Director.
Ensures associate responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are clearly defined and understood. Manages and evaluates the performance and productivity of associates in assigned region. Provides training and onboarding for new associates; ongoing training to assigned Program Managers and Behavior Interventionists; and specialized training to associates preparing for various certifications.
Works with Regional Clinical Director and Human Resources in the recruitment/selection process of new program associates. Oversees associates involved in the recruitment/selection process as needed.
Attends conferences and trainings to remain current regarding new research, current trends and developments in autism, special education and related fields.
Functions as liaison between the organization, families, and other community agencies including regional centers, school programs, therapists, and health care providers assisting with questions and concerns as they arise. Travels as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Master's degree in ABA or related field.|Must possess and maintain a Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst (BCBA) certification.|Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Expert knowledge of scientifically-validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches found to benefit children with ASD; familiar with current related research findings.

Compensation, Schedule & Incentives
Pay Range: $20.00-$23.00/per hour, based on experience and education
Part-Time Start: Positions begin part-time with a minimum of 15-20 hours per week required
Path to Full-Time: Opportunity to expand into full-time hours depending on center needs and your availability
Additional Pay Incentives
+$2/hour for weekend shifts
+$5/hour for company-observed holidays

Your Role: Making a Lasting Impact
As a Behavior Interventionist, you'll do more than provide care you'll empower children and teens to grow, learn, and thrive.
Your key responsibilities include:
1:1 Client Support - Work directly with children and teens with Autism and other developmental disabilities (Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, and more).
Implement ABA Treatment Plans - Follow individualized plans under BCBA supervision to teach skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and improve quality of life.
Provide Consistent Therapy - Commit to at least 15 scheduled therapy hours per week to ensure steady progress.
Track Progress - Collect and record data to measure growth and guide next steps.
Foster Learning and Growth - Use structured activities and interactive approaches to help clients reach their full potential.
Collaborate as a Team - Work closely with supervisors, families, and colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
Maintain Professional Standards - Follow HIPAA, mandated reporting, and company policies to protect and support the families you serve.

School Based Behavior Interventionist

Behavior analyst job in La Verne, CA
The position is responsible for assisting a certified teacher in implementing a multi-sensory individualized educational plan (IEP) for each student with disabilities in a self-contained classroom with twelve to fourteen students.. The positon is responsible for implementing behavior plans for all students assigned and tracking data for the BehaviorAnalyst to modify for interventions and IEPs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Supports the assigned classroom teacher with classroom documentation and creation of student materials
* Ensures every student has a working behavior plan written by the BCBA and implemented by the behavior technician to include: measurement, assessment, skill acquisition, behavior reduction, documentation, reporting and professional conduct.
* Works with students in a one on one setting to reinforce instruction and help students learn academic and functional skills
* Reports progress regarding student behavior and performance to teacher/BCBA
* Supervises students alone while the teacher is in an IEP
* Participates in the maintenance of individual and classroom records including progress reports, behavior plans and records and daily attendance records in accordance with school policies; ensures confidentiality is maintained.
* Helps creates instructional bulletin boards, work areas, and other materials displayed in accordance with lesson themes, activities, and seasons.
* Implements behavior plans and interventions throughout the school day with assigned students.
* Responds appropriately to incidents and problems as they arise among the students in order to de-escalate them as quickly as possible; uses proactive and crisis intervention skills in communicating with child/ren; participates in physical interventions as necessary, in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
* Attends and participates in faculty meetings, in-service programs and workshops to maintain professional knowledge and skills and keep informed as to Agency policies and programs that may impact on students; attends CPI/TCI training and utilizes its techniques and meets requirements of a registered behavior technician.
* Assists in maintaining health and safety of students by being aware of environment and the potential of student actions; assists the teacher or specialist according to established guidelines and procedures.
* Assists students by providing behavioral examples, implementing continuous measurement procedures, using reinforcement and various teaching methods, displaying values and morals, providing emotional support, a friendly attitude and general guidance; assists in directing group activities of students at lunch and other times.
