Job Summary As a school behavior tech, you will support teachers and school administrators by working with students with behavior challenges in a classroom setting. In this role, you may be working one on one with a student in a mainstream classroom. Or, you may be asked to support multiple students in a separate classroom designed to meet their unique educational needs. Your students will vary in age from grades K-12, to be determined by the school district. Their behavior challenges may range from mild to moderate to severe. The level of intervention and support they require will be determined on a case-by-case basis, according to the parameters set forth in their individual education plans (IEP) or 504 plans. Your primary responsibilities will involve helping students learn to manage their behavior to optimize their own learning experience. You will also play an important role in preserving a positive learning environment for their classmates and teachers. You will help students meet individual behavioral and academic goals by encouraging positive behaviors and setting appropriate boundaries. Teachers and administrators will also rely on you to observe and report students' progress toward the goals outlined in their IEP /504 plans. We are looking for a versatile BT who is willing to collaborate with a diverse group of students, educators, and administrators.     What You'll Do TACT, a Denver-based non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage and empower individuals with autism through education and employment in the trades. Currently, TACT is seeking a full-time RBT who will educate individuals with autism in the trades. This individual will assist lead BCBA and help others develop skills that will make them qualified, young professionals. This position will be held onsite at the main facility in Englewood, CO. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Provide 1:1 therapy to young children, early and older elementary school-aged students in a variety of settings, including the clinic, office, home, community, and via telehealth focusing on instruction in the naturalistic environment. Keep children engaged in motivating, naturalistic, intensive therapy throughout the treatment session. Collect data daily during all treatment sessions. Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and respond appropriately to all challenging behaviors.
