Responsibilities of the Licensed Therapist
Provides direct patient care for Wayspring patients and care collaboration for complex patients with multiple needs, determines the best strategy and support for the patient to encourage engagement (Clinical Care Navigators, Psychiatric NPs and Primary Care NPs).
Continues or conducts initial assessments for new patients
Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
Meets with patients regularly to talk about treatment plan, track progress on treatment plans, and adjusts treatment plans as necessary
Conducts ongoing screenings of patient progress
Complies with documentation standards within clinic documentation platform, Athena (EMR) to ensure regulatory compliance
Collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary care team within the Wayspring clinic, as well as other providers and facilities outside of the clinic as necessary
Ensures that Wayspring's Clinical Care Navigators understand and adhere to patients' treatment plans and act as a clinical resource as needed.
Adheres to Wayspring information security and privacy requirements.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in eligible field (social work, psychology, counseling) required
Active state licensure
Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as requested (Wayspring covers cost associated)
Must exhibit empathy, listening skills, social and communication skills, boundary setting, critical thinking, organizational skills, written documentation skills, technical/computer skills
Experience working with Medicaid populations is highly preferred
Experience working within substance use disorder space is highly preferred
Ideal experience in working with trauma informed care models
Experience in working within American Society of Addiction Medicine levels of care

Job Description

Develops and promotes a constructive/positive atmosphere within the behavioral health inpatient unit for patients and team members through interaction and engagement.
Provides a visible deterrence for potentially violent and emotionally distraught patients by utilizing therapeutic rapport and if necessary, the least restrictive physical intervention required as per CPI techniques.
Responds quickly and effectively to emergent and non-emergent situations. Utilizes knowledge and prior training of handling aggressive patients to assist team members in safely managing patients, according to policy.
Communicates observations and pertinent information to the RN regarding patients' physical and mental changes, including age-specific and cultural needs.
Participates in team huddles and handoff report. Works closely with BH team members via communicating regarding patients' escalation triggers and potential for violence.
Actively participates in team debriefings after physical intervention of patients.
Demonstrates compliance with patient safety protocols. Safely transports, transfers, and ambulates patients using appropriate body mechanics.

What will your day look like? You will:

Observation of client medication that is considered a controlled substance
Ensure clients are filling out self-observation sheets for medication.
Completing rounds at the beginning, throughout and at the end of shift. When clients are placed on Q30 rounds, completing them accordingly with appropriate documentation
Overnight is responsible for hourly rounds unless otherwise specified for high-risk clients, all rounds documented in MHT chat
Transporting clients to and from appointments, clinical services, employment if applicable, and other outside activities. Ensuring Epiphany's driving policy is being followed and if an accident occurs, accident policy is followed
Performing Urinalysis as assigned, reading urinalysis results on a 12-panel, and reporting and recording appropriate documentation as well as communicating to appropriate supervisor.
Performing breathalyzers on clients as assigned. Reporting any results over 0.00 to on call supervisor
Reporting and completing shift notes for each shift
Following chain of command at all times. Being aware of when and how to report any, and all issues on shift, including but not limited to facilities, clients and other staff
Building positive relationships with clients and staff
Utilizing group chat when on shift for communication with other staff and supervisor
Flexibility - scheduling (coverage can be needed at any time). Client schedule changes, last-minute intakes, behavioral issues etc.
Searching client belongings upon intake, vehicles, and rooms as assigned by Supervisor
Reporting Suicidal Ideation and Homicidal Ideations of any and all patients

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth and Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We serve families across the state of New Jersey and are currently seeking dedicated Behavioral Technicians to join our Gloucester County team.
Job Summary
As a Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Providers typically work 5-20 hours per week, with 2-4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings. Services are hands-off, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well-being.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the client
• Implement strategies outlined in each child's Individual Support Plan
• Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns
• Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies
• Engage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness
• Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings
• Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines
Qualifications
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred but not required. Candidates who have completed their degree are strongly encouraged to apply
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably children
• Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
• Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
• Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License and proof of auto insurance
• Must pass all state and federal background checks

Bonus Structure:
• $150 issued after 45 days of active case assignment
• $150 issued after an additional 60 days
• Must meet all eligibility criteria throughout the bonus period
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the sign-on bonus, employees must:
• Complete all onboarding and orientation requirements
• Maintain a minimum weekly caseload of 2-3 assigned clients
• Stay actively engaged and attend all scheduled sessions
• Remain in good standing throughout the bonus period
