We are currently seeking a full-time physical therapist for our outpatient and multispecialty clinics in our Boston location Key Responsibilities:
Performing complex diagnostic evaluations upon referral and by departmental and professional guidelines and standards. Verifying appropriateness of referral, contacting provider as necessary. Reviewing patient medical history/record and selecting, administering, and interpreting standardized and non-standardized tests and measurements to assess patients' functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function. Integrating knowledge into clinical decisions and recommendations.
Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs. Establishing treatment goals and administering appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalities. Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs. Providing education to patients and families. Monitoring treatment outcomes, modifying programs as needed, and communicating recommendations to physicians and other providers.
Recommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions. Integrates knowledge into clinical decision-making to meet specific treatment objectives. Liaison with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs. Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitors and evaluates effectiveness, and initiates modifications as needed.
Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according to established documentation standards. Prepares reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.
Identifying and developing clinical knowledge and skills through participation in professional organizations, attending continuing education programs, peer review, and other related internal and external resources.
Serving as a clinical instructor in a departmental student externship program upon completing eligibility requirements. Planning learning objectives and arranges related clinical experiences. Monitoring performance, providing guidance and feedback, and preparing and conducting student evaluations.
Acts as a supervisor for assigned direct reports, including physical therapist I, physical therapist assistants and rehab aides. Assists in monitoring work assignments, identifying areas for improvement and professional development, providing instruction and feedback, and participating in performance evaluations.
May participate in departmental training and staff development programs. May supervise assigned direct reports, including physical therapist assistants (PTA) or rehab aides.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 of licensed PT experience required
Previous hospital-based outpatient PT experience highly preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
Physical Therapist license in the state of MA

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Job Details
A behavior specialist will train and supervise the behaviortechnician. Behaviortechnician will implement the behavior support plan designed by behavior specialist, and gather data required to monitor the progress of the target behavior according to the plan. That person will remain active in acquiring knowledge in the field of applied behavior analysis and best practice in the classroom. Requires excellent communication skills and experience working in the ABA program designed to meet the needs of students with autism spectrum disorders and behavioral challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have 48 college credits or associate degree or creditable paraprofessional experience
Must have RBT certification or willing to go through the training to be RBT
Must be trained in the strategies of Safety Care and/or be willing to be trained to be the Safety Care trainer
Experience as a classroom staff of students with behavioral difficulties
Ability to be flexible with scheduling
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to model behavior management strategies for students with behavioral difficulties
On-going knowledge of research in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis

A Mental Health Technician (MHT) performs selected patient care activities under the supervision of the Program Director and/or Nurse Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Restore and promote patient's health by assisting in their individual therapeutic treatment plan
Conducts activities in accordance with patient diagnosis and needs
Attend to patient personal needs (oral hygiene, toileting, bathing, dressing, transferring, etc.) as required.
Escort and monitor patients during admissions, transfers and discharges; and provide line-of-sight or one-to-one support to patients as ordered by the physician
Check and document luggage and personal belongings upon admission; maintain patient property list
Regularly observe and record patients' behaviors, temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure and weight
Monitor and document patient's food and fluid intake; feeding patients as required
Complete and document 15 minute (or less) visual checks on patients per unit/hospital policy
Insure patient dignity and respect patient values
Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families and friends
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality; and protects operations by keeping patient and program information confidential

Assist in emergency care if necessary
Maintain continuity among peers by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety standards; infection-control policies and protocols; storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations
Use hygienic practices and teach patient hygienic practices
Attends and contributes to therapeutic groups, community meetings and activities
Attends appropriate facility in-service training programs
Completes all required educational sessions, including staff meetings and competencies per unit/hospital policy
Ensure operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques
Assist with tele psych equipment as required
Provide feedback to supervisor on ongoing basis in regard to concerns, improvements, changes, etc.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
