Essential Functions: Actively support and participate in the district and community's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity goals. Provide direct student instruction and assist staff with implementation in one-on-one and group settings. Follow prescribed behavior skills acquisition and behavior change protocols. Assist with preparing materials as necessary. Prepare, collect, analyze data on observable student behavior. Use data to assist with implementation of skill acquisition and behavioral assessments. Document interventions, progress data, and observation notes. Keeps records in a timely and accurate manner including, but not limited to, Medicaid, session notes, student attendance, and communication logs. Participate in training of staff as necessary. Demonstrates reliability (attendance, punctuality, meeting deadlines). Demonstrates skill and proficiency in carrying out assignments. Implement crises/emergency procedures according to protocol. Report to District Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) regarding student progress and to gain training and understanding of behavior support protocols. Communicate with staff regarding student progress as instructed by the BCBA. Collaborate with school teams and collaborate and contribute to IEPs and meetings as necessary. Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs. Assists in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs. Assists with record-keeping procedures to document student learning and performance. Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student during lunch, transitioning to and from the bus, during recess, in the hallways, and other related non-instructional areas as assigned. Accompanies students on field trips for the purpose of assisting with supervision. Support all schoolwide and classroom instructional and behavioral supports. Bill Medicaid for Medicaid eligible students and services provided by the BCBA or RBT following all state and federal guidelines. Travel may be required between buildings within the district. Participate in professional development, as assigned. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Qualifications A day in the life: Conduct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions with early learners and young adults with Autism through teaching sessions in the home or community setting. Implement behavioral intervention and individualized treatment plans for children between the ages of 2 and 21. Participate in BCBA trainings, team meetings, client observations and parent training as needed. Maintain open and direct communication with the BCBA and other RBT team members as needed relating to the delivery of treatment to our pediatric patients. Receive Supervision from your BCBA at a minimum of 10% of services provided. Maintain professional boundaries around our child patients and their families as indicated by the BACB. Enter data and all trials utilized daily for each pediatric patient for all programs targeted. Remain available for all supervision sessions, phone conferences, and team meetings required by the BCBA. Other duties as assigned.
