Directly supervises tellers and schedules the daily activities of the teller staff. Provides feedback to Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure teller schedules are commensurate with branch staffing goals. Assists tellers with customer transactions, as needed, and may perform all the duties commensurate with a teller based on customer demand. 2. Troubleshoots and reconciles problems and complaints relative to teller line activity. Responsible for ensuring that teller identified errors, including teller overs and shorts, are identified and corrected in a timely manner. Provides training and coaching to tellers. 3. Performs teller related operational activities. Complies with various bank procedures as they pertain to BSA compliance and maintains various logs, records, and inventories, as prescribed by bank procedures. Keeps abreast of regulatory compliance and developments for assigned area and apprises staff of it. Recommends procedural changes as needed to support prescribed requirements. 4. Verifies vault totals daily and maintains cash levels within prescribed limits. Orders cash for branch and verifies receipt of cash in accordance with Bank security procedures. Responsible for daily ATM settlement. Ensures that cash and checks are appropriately stored at the end of the day. Performs audit of tellers' cash drawer on a regular basis. 5. Sells and redeems U.S. Saving Bonds. 6. Provides service and cross sells all products to customer in teller capacity. May open accounts, process loan applications and loan payoffs, as required; enters required data into computer. Provides customers with information and advice within scope of authority. 7. Provides backup to Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager as needed. 8. Performs security functions, including opening and closing the branch offices, vault opening and closing, proper storage of cash and checks, internal control. Assists in ensuring proper maintenance of assigned branch building, grounds and equipment, OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 9. Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required or assigned. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma plus specialized course work and training. At least three years' experience in a teller position with demonstrated supervisory ability. Working knowledge of the Bank's products and services. OVERVIEW: The Universal Banker handles all aspects of customer interaction including the sales process and transaction handling. Efforts should focus on building full banking relationships with current customers and prospects. The Universal Banker should also recognize customer needs while deepening relationships by promoting, explaining, and cross-selling bank products and services. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and the community in which it serves. 1. Meet or exceed all financial objectives pertaining to individual goals and branch team goals. Engage with customers by following established customer interaction model, to establish new customer relationships, retain and deepen existing customer relationships and provide highest customer service experience. Fulfill customer financial needs by utilizing the sales process which may include referring to business partners, closing sales and completion of Customer Summaries. 2. May manage a Personal Banker Portfolio. 3. Encourage automated transaction handling to customers by conducting demonstrations of alternative banking delivery channels. If automation is not possible or desired by customer, accept and process deposits, payments, checks for cashing and other transactions via manual processing according to established procedures and standards for performance.4. Handle servicing of customer accounts and resolve issues efficiently and effectively, with the highest of customer service standards. Recognize cross-sell opportunities, including core deposit accounts as well as insurance and investment products. Refer to specialists as required. 5. Adhere to compliance and operations risk controls in accordance with the company and regulatory standards, policies and practices. Be able to efficiently and effectively access operational policies and procedures. Perform operational responsibilities as designated by management. 6. Establish proficiency of the Bank's systems needed to effectively service customers with the highest of service standards. 7. May supervise and coordinate the operations of a branch office to ensure quality customer service and effective branch operations in conformance with established Bank strategies, policies and procedures. May supervise and schedule daily activities of subordinate staff, assist tellers with customer transactions and/or supervise daily branch settlement and monitor teller's shorts and overages. 8. Will have override authority. Maintains Branch Cash Vault. - Orders and ships, coin & Currency. Ensures branch is in compliance with all policies and procedures. May be responsible for vault and teller cash. May have the ability to take and close consumer loans including equity loans. May possess key and alarm codes. 9. May assist with the branch operations and with the training and coaching of branch personnel, consistent with the sales and operational protocols established by the Bank. 10. May represent the Bank through participation in community and industry related activities. Actively promotes interest in the Bank wherever and whenever possible. 11. Fully Universal Banker Certified. 12. Branch must be a Tier II or Tier III. One (1) UB III per Branch.
