This is a semi-skilled part time position at the Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island operating buses. The work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of vehicular equipment and usually involves some equipment maintenance duties and other semi-skilled work relating to the equipment and building maintenance activities. Employees will receive definite and detailed instructions from a supervisor at the time of appointment. The work is performed according to established procedures with frequent daily inspections.

SUMMARY
This position requires a professional transport (truck) driver to drive an IMSA transporter (with trailer) to and from events and/or fly to and from events. Responsible for equipment maintenance and care including cleaning, restocking and upkeep.
Prepare truck logs, complete timecards, and fuel reports after all trips.
Conducting thorough pre and post trip reports.
Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) for DOT compliance.
After performing set-up duties at the race event, will also be asked to perform other tasks to help augment other staffing needs around other departments.
Required to operate forklifts and supporting equipment.

Purpose of Job
The purpose of this job is to operate a mainline bus or specialized van. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: picking up and dropping off passengers, collecting fares, operating a vehicle along prescribed routes, transporting paratransit/demand response passengers, providing good customer service, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Job Related Requirements
Work Schedule: *Flexible Schedules / Some Weekend Work Required* Varies: the hours of operation are 5:30 AM - 10:00 PM, 7 days a week. The first route pulls out at 5:30 AM weekdays, and weekend service begins at 7:00 AM.
All new hires will be placed on the extra board. When a permanent shift becomes available all employees will have an opportunity to bid based on seniority and performance.
May be required to work on religious holidays.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Must work cooperatively with others.
When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACC's safe driving policy.
Emergency Position
This position is designated as an emergency position that requires your attendance at work under all types of emergency conditions. Some examples of emergencies include inclement weather, utility failure, fire or other forced evacuations or as determined by the Manager.Recruit:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Customer service and/or working with the elderly or disabled is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire.
Must be able to obtain a full valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License(CDL) permit within six(6) weeks of the date of hire. Must also be able to obtain a full valid Georgia CDL with passenger endorsement within four(4) months of the date of hire.
Operator 1:
High school diploma or GED required, with one year of experience in the operation of a mainline bus and/or specialized van preferred
Experience working with the elderly or disabled is also preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's CDL license with Passenger endorsement at time of hire.
