The BusDriver will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for our program participants. Transports children and staff to schools, field trips, and other locations as approved by the Director and provide supervision and direction to children.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Instructs and guides participants through the rules of riding the bus and ensures adherence; disciplines children within established guidelines of the YMCA and parent, and only when appropriate.
Immediately reports all unusual incidents or accidents to the Transportation Coordinator
Will appear clean, neat, and appropriately attired in accordance with the Association's Policy on personal appearance
Will adhere to all policies as stated in the SKY Family YMCA Handbook
Exercises effective problem solving techniques, tackles issues directly and makes timely decisions based upon logical conclusions of factual information
Completes work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner

Vehicle maintenance and safety:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking tires, fluids, and fuel levels.
Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, both inside and out, at all times.
Report any vehicle damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to management immediately.
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Operational communication: Communicate with the guest service team, and other drivers via radio to coordinate schedules, report delays, and respond to guest requests.
Administrative tasks: Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and mileage.
QUALIFICATIONS
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement may be required, depending on the size of the vehicle.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
