Facility: Dayton Children's - Main Campus Department: Cardiology - EKG Schedule: Full time Hours: 32 Job Details: The Echocardiograph Technician/Sonographer performs Pediatric, adult, fetal echocardiograms and assist the cardiologist with Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). These exams are very complex and involve advanced skill in echo imaging, application judgment, and advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy. The Echocardiograph Technician/Sonographer must have advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy structure, including: normal, abnormal, surgical repairs, and shunt repairs. This position requires the ability to image: M-Mode, real-time, Doppler wave and color flow mapping, digital clipping, and must be proficient in using Cardiology Information systems and electronic medical record. This position takes call and must rotate with other Sonographers traveling to outside hospitals when requested.
This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with hospital operations and outpatient service departments. CPR Certification is required. Responsible for complying with an effective hospital-wide program for surveillance, prevention, and infection control. Recognize and advocate for each patient being an individual with unique healthcare needs. Provides considerate respectful care. Affirming the patient's rights to make decisions regarding their medical care. Responsible for complying with a safety management program designed to provide a physical environment free of hazards.

This position requires graduation from an accredited program of ultrasound (such as ARDMS) or related college, a minimum of 2 consecutive years as a registered technologist, with a strong preference to candidates with pediatric sonographer experience.

Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
Perform all related processing required for each completed study
Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS National Certification and state-specific licensing when required.
Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Echo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

What You'll Do
Install and/or build displays, fixturing, and endcaps, involving the setup of security, cabling, wiring, monitors/media players, and audio connectivity
Troubleshoot and resolve issues necessary to ensure displays are fully functional and meet maintenance requirements
Lead Teams on multi-rep projects. These projects could be full 8-hour days and may require travel into the market (up to 120 miles)
Meet Ad-hoc maintenance requirements, which include:
Store service within 48-72 hours
Troubleshoot and repair display issues independently, ensuring they are fully functional using the parts provided
Travel up to 120 miles with paid Drive Time and Mileage per company policy
Ability to occasionally travel overnight is preferred
Available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 40-50+ hours based on business needs. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00 a.m., with occasional weekend assignments
Any hours exceeding 40 in a workweek will be communicated in advance by leadership, to the extent possible. All hours and shifts comply with state and local requirements for wages, hours, overtime, and rest break guidelines
Report the status of each store visit accurately to show success in achieving objectives
Perform essential merchandising functions, including planogram resets, POP updates, and maintaining correct pricing and signage
Build in-store relationships
Participate actively in weekly conference calls
Complete administrative tasks, including but not limited to scheduling reports within 24 hours of program launch, entering data/reports same day, and reporting visits by project end date
Other tasks as requested by management
Prescription Drug Collection Duties:
Facilitate the collection of prescription drugs that have been placed in the store's designated drug take-back containers by placing a provided zip tie on the bag and placing it in a holding area in the store
In-store interactions will only be with the pharmacist and/or store leadership
What You'll Bring
Experience and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in building displays, fixturing, monitor cabling/connectivity
Experience using tools required to maintain displays
Experience in troubleshooting and fixing display issues, i.e., light fixtures, malfunctioning buttons, computer/tablet/Smartphone demo-related issues, software reboots, electronic component connectivity, etc.
Skills and Attributes:
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and highly organized
Ability to independently manage an account base
Able to read schematics and correctly connect components
Always display a professional demeanor
Must be proficient using your personal Smartphone/Tablet with GPS functionality to upload photos, report assignment data, reference documents while in-store and schedule visits
Ability to drive on behalf of the company in compliance with company guidelines with reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance
Must make the commitment to complete the market area's minimum weekly or special project hours request
Must have a basic toolkit
A basic toolkit includes a multi-screwdriver, torx security bit set, hammer, cordless drill, allen wrench, box cutter, rubber mallet, socket set, needle nose pliers, precision wire cutters, crescent wrench, easy off, putty knife, microfiber cleaning cloth, and goo gone
Complete/Pass required (break-fix and ad-hoc) paid training requirements as well as one-off project training prior to conducting visits

The Toledo Clinic is seeking a full-time Echocardiogram Tech to work full-time in a busy Cardiology Office (4235 Secor Rd. Toledo, OH). This position will work M-F, 8-5, with no weekends or holidays. Employee benefits are offered. Performs echocardiograms and non-invasive cardiac tests.
Woks under the supervision of the office manager.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
1. Performs quality echocardiograms, recognizing abnormalities, and obtains appropriate measurements and calculations.
2. Writes technical preliminary reports and confers with Drs. on abnormal results.
3. Preps treadmill stress patients and assists physician with functions related to stress testing according to department policy/procedure.
4. Applies holter monitor recorder and performs holter tape analysis according to department policy/procedure.
5. Works within the EMR to gather needed information prior to testing.
6. Reviews final reports before sending to referring physician.
7. Maintains proper care of equipment between preventative maintenance checks.
8. Performs office duties/other paperwork to ensure efficient operation of the department which includes proper completion of charge tickets before sending to billing.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Required:
* EKG, Holter Monitor, Stress Test, and echocardiogram procedure knowledge required.
* Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
* Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
* Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Education:
* Associates Degree in Cardiovascular Technology and registry in Echocardiograms through ARDMS or equivalent registry board.
