The Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Classified Cyber Security organization is seeking a Classified Cyber Security professional to deliver automated, sustainable, and consistent cyber products and services for the RMS Business Area, that enable the delivery of 21st-century security services to our classified programs. THE WORK The selected individual will serve as a Classified Cyber Security Technologist Sr. In this role, the selected individual will collaborate with a team of cybersecurity professionals and work closely with the Information System Security Manager(s) to implement and monitor comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. This will involve identifying, designing, securing, and deploying specialized applications and tools that support the governance and risk management of classified systems, infrastructure, and tools, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified assets. The selected candidate will also help design and document advanced risk governance operations to implement proactive security methodologies for classified programs. This position requires an understanding of development and security controls, as well as a mindset focused on automation-enabled cybersecurity for day-to-day activities. Key Responsibilities: * Minimum of 3+ years of related experience in cybersecurity * Plan, implement, test, and monitor classified cybersecurity measures to ensure the security and integrity of our systems. * Assess and mitigate classified system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. * Coordinate activities with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure systems are secure and technically ready for inspection. * Validate system security requirements and establish technical system security documentation. * Assist with the implementation of security procedures and verify system security requirements. Technical Requirements: * Be well-versed in information system security architectural documentation standards. * Apply information assurance and cybersecurity standards, directives, guidance, and policies to an architectural/risk-based framework. * Understand and implement relevant frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, or other industry-recognized standards. * Provide a structured approach to information system security, ensuring that all aspects of the system are properly secured and aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: * Ensure compliance with governing documents and security policies. * Assist in regulatory periodic assessments to ensure adherence to government regulations and information assurance/cybersecurity guidelines. * Provide recommendations for secure implementation and compliance. * Support the development of information system security documents and reports to regulatory agencies. Please Note: * This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. * This position is full-time onsite at Deer Creek Facility in Littleton, CO. Basic Qualifications: * Final Secret clearance * Ability to obtain and maintain TS clearance * Demonstratable experience with standard cybersecurity and network environment tools and applications, including: SIEM, ESS, DLP, IAM, Vulnerability Scanning, etc. * Proven experience in executing security hardening on Windows and RHEL operating systems, utilizing approved DISA STIGs and SRGs, and implementing NIST SP 800-53 security controls to ensure compliance with industry standards. * Proven knowledge of the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG), or Risk Management Framework (RMF). * DoD 8140/8570 IAT/M or IASAE Level-II Certification, such as: CASP CE, CISSP, CISSP Associate, or CSSLP. Desired Skills: * Proven expertise in Dev/Sec/Ops concepts and processes, with the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios, including: * Expertise in Splunk, including: Writing queries, Creating dashboards, Implementing third-party apps (e.g., Qmulos Products) * Experience with network design processes, including: Understanding security objectives, Operational objectives, Risk mitigation strategies for information systems * Demonstratable experience working with complex operating systems and networks, including: * Data centers * Cloud environments * Cross-domain solutions * NSA Type 1/Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) encryption solutions * Demonstratable experience conducting internal and external customer assessments, including: * Identifying areas for improvement * Providing recommendations for remediation * Developing and implementing corrective action plans * Proven ability to evaluate proposed changes or additions to the information system, including: * Assessing their security relevance * Providing advisory support to the ISSM * Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards * Proven experience implementing new and complex technologies at an enterprise level, including: * Ensuring seamless integration with existing systems * Minimizing disruption to operations * Providing training and support to users Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Utilizes and makes recommendations regarding College of Education best practices for the use of University student records systems such as EAB Navigate and SPIRE to document advising services. Responds to common issues such as registration-related matters including fulfilling the University's general education requirements, interpreting major and college requirements, and providing guidance for dual degrees, double majors, and minors. Manages complicated or problematic advising cases-including aiding with complex matters that involve prior misadvising, goal setting related to unusual career outcomes, planning and decision-making such as establishing an academic and career plan, resolving conflicts between two or more majors and/or concentrations and independently evaluating credit for study-abroad and other off-campus programs. Responds to at-risk students experiencing academic and often critical personal difficulties by addressing relevant issues and making appropriate referrals to University resources. Serves as a resource to faculty members related to at-risk advising cases. Facilitates program planning related to the growth and development of the undergraduate population within the College of Education fostering a “cohort” model and feeling of belonging for students. Participates in admissions, alumni weekend, orientation, and other University events as appropriate. Understanding that outdoor education is central to all we do, the Manager, CCR will work collaboratively both internally and with partners as we strive to connect NYC youth to the natural world through experiential learning and to workforce opportunities in NYC Parks and more broadly in STEM fields through practical training. The Career Pathways Advisor serves as the primary support contact for students working to achieve their educational goals. This position delivers individualized advising, coordinates campus resources, and implements intervention strategies supporting student success. In addition, the incumbent may specialize in serving students from special populations (e.g., veterans, students with disabilities, at-risk students) or special initiatives (e.g., community connections, non-academic support system). By connecting students with appropriate resources and building personalized success plans, the advisor helps ensure access to educational opportunities while supporting student persistence from enrollment through completion. Requirements Functional Responsibilities: Student Advising and Support: Meet with assigned students for initial in-depth advising, career planning, and mapping out an initial Student Education Plan (SEP) using the Guided Pathways model. Interpret and apply Edison's assessment/placement model, including the use of multiple measures, for new and transfer students. Provide guidance on the career process, including major referrals to Career Development as needed. Foster student self-advocacy and independence by teaching students how to navigate online systems and processes while connecting them to information and learning opportunities. Establish regular communication and meetings with assigned students to encourage continued success and completion, proactively addressing issues that may arise. Work cross-divisionally and collaboratively with Academic Affairs, Workforce Development, and other College departments to increase student success, retention, and completion rates. Collaborate with faculty advisors in updating Student Education Plans (SEP) using the Guided Pathways model and addressing issues connected to enrollment, registration, and completion. Document all student encounters utilizing the prescribed advising notation technologies. Other duties as assigned. Professional Development and Compliance: Maintain and uphold FERPA regulations. Attend scheduled advising training sessions and stay abreast of curriculum and policy changes. Participate in advising initiatives and projects as directed by the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. Share relevant student feedback and insights with the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs to support continuous improvement. Serve on College committees as assigned. Engage in professional development. Holiday Pay: At the start of their employment employees are eligible to receive pay for the 11 holidays for which the campus is closed. Tuition Waiver: Edison State employees receive 100% of their instructional fees waived for any Edison State courses they take. Dependents (spouse or children) of full time Edison State employees receive the same 100% waiver for Edison State course instructional fees and dependents of part time employees receive a partial waiver. Health Club Contribution: Edison State will pay a portion of an employee's yearly premiums for a health club membership. Memberships to some local YMCA organizations can be payroll deducted.
