Job Objective
Assists and provides residents with personal care direction, which enables them to maintain good personal hygiene, carry out activities of daily living, maintain good health and participate in the ongoing activities of the community
Key Responsibilities
· Assist residents with their personal care, which shall include direction and assistance with bathing, dressing, ordinary care of teeth and mouth, ordinary care of nails, shaving, hair care, and management of incontinence if necessary.
· Assist in monitoring the overall health status of residents · Listen to and understand the problems of residents and report those problems to the Program Manager
· Properly answer the resident emergency call system by evaluating their needs and resolving related problems
· Assist with linen changes and personal laundry
· Assist with planned and unplanned activities
Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalent required or 2 years of related experience may be substituted for the HS diploma requirement
· Desire to work in a senior population
· Must be able to interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner
· 1 yr of nurse aide, HHA experience
· Medication certification preferred but not required
· Team orient, reliable, flexible, and dependable
