Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation. Principle Duties and Responsibilities * Completes work area setup * Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards * Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process * Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product * Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate * Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns * Maintains a clean and orderly work environment * Maintains production records as required * Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards * Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards * Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications * High school diploma/GED preferred but not required * No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred * Working knowledge of basic math preferred * Must be at least 18 years of age Click here to watch what a day in the life of an Assembler looks like. Base Pay This role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience. PURPOSE This position is responsible for designing, building and maintaining store product displays. Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES THE FUNCTION FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Design and build store product displays per the Department Manager in each department. All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. Builder is expected to create 20 - 25 displays per week. Work with the Inventory Control Specialist to submit write-offs and maintain inventory for materials Create a calendar for each month with a plan for all displays being built. MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS One year of construction or building experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education. Demonstrated ability to abide by and exhibit proactive adherence to all safety regulations and policies Demonstrated experience in Wood working Tile setting Use of power tools Use of measuring tools Use of basic tools (e.g., hammer, nails, T-square, saw, etc.) WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. You will operate a variety of woodworking machines and use various hand tools to fabricate wood and cardboard packaging, crates, and skids. DESCRIPTION: Set up and run basic woodworking machines such as a table saw, panel saw, dado saw, etc. Operate basic woodworking hand tools such as framing nailer, pneumatic stapler, hammer, electric drill, pry-bar, etc. Measure and mark dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock prior to cutting, following blueprints, to ensure a tight fit and quality product. Attach parts or subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, nails, screws, or clamps. Verify dimensions or check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications. Assist in loading, packaging, and sealing crates. Operate an industrial lift truck to move crating through the shop. REQUIREMENTS: Experience in wood construction. Have experience safety operating commercial grade wood cutting equipment. Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. plus stand for extended periods Able to read basic drawings. Can perform calculations using Math. Read and comprehend standard operating procedures and be willing to learn. Able to accurately use a tape measure.
