We're building a locally staffed 6 person team with a fleet of 3 trucks that takes pride in servicing our clothing collection shed partners throughout the capital region and beyond. Our team is supported by a family ownership group, strong management team, and long term customers. On time arrival and prompt dispatch of delivery vehicles including pre-trip inspection, load check, and daily dispatch inspection.
Dressing appropriately using the uniforms and apparel provided by Palmer Food Services on a daily basis.
Preparation and completion of the appropriate paperwork mandated by the Department of Transportation and Palmer Food Services including but not exclusive of the reconciliation report, driver log (when applicable), DVIR (driver vehicle inspection report), pre-trip mileage sheet, product return sheet, vacation request forms, and any forms needed concerning benefits.
Learn and understand the appropriate invoicing and product return paperwork to accurately account for all products being delivered or returned.

The safe operation of a commercial vehicle following the guidelines set forth by the Department of Transportation and policies instituted by Palmer Food Services.
Accurate delivery of a wide range of products to various customers in a safe manner and in a way that is not detrimental to the integrity of the product.
Proper customer relations to ensure continued business.
Delivery of products using a commercial vehicle, handcart, ramp, and any other piece of equipment used in prompt, safe deliveries.
Communicate with transportation department personnel using cell phones.
Recording of mileage and delivery time daily.
Taking personal care of vehicle driven pertaining to cleanliness and maintenance.
Attend and promptly arrive to all Transportation departmental bi-monthly meetings that have been stated as mandatory.
Train new drivers on routes.
Presents a professional image to internal/external customers and vendors with appropriate dress according to the work situation while maintaining good grooming and hygiene.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
Clean CDL Class A license.
Minimum of 1-2 years of prior delivery experience.
Must have the ability to lift product weighing up to 100 lbs on a consistent basis.
Required to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle and operate in a safe manner.
Must be able to walk, bend, lift on a regular basis.
Salary:
$32.00-$35.00/ hour
Shift:
This position is a 4-day workweek schedule, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Shifts begin between 12:00 PM and 1:30 AM , depending on the day, and run approximately 12 hours in length.
